Coupons are a BIG Big part of my/ our life and yes it takes time to find them, clip them and then find the deals. BUT this is when I come in and hope to take some of the hard work out of using them and telling you when I find a deal and when to use those coupons. I been couponing for about 3 years now and we slashed our grocery bill by at least 75% for a family of 5 with 2 dogs. Our Grocery Budget is $50 a week( it was $100 a week till September and now I changed it to $50), and that includes EVERYTHING we need from dog food to meat, personal hygiene, cleaning anything you need… So far this year I kept a total, I have not updated the last month, I’m a bit behind but from January till the end of August we spend a total of our grocery budget $2,385.70 and our savings came to $7,672.94 a savings of 76% for the year and that is just on Groceries… We don’t eat out a lot, we eat at home every night and we cook a homemade dinner as you can see on my meal plan HERE
; it is doable and you can do it, too. Coupons do work… I’m more than happy to answer any questions, I would love to help your family save as much as they can.
We Stockpile, what is Stockpile you ask, well you buy everything in multiples or as many as you think your family will eat in a given time period, some people like to get enough for a month, some 3 month some till the next sale. Since I been couponing for a while I know what comes on sale most often and what doesn’t and that’s how I stock up. I usually buy in 10’s, like 10 boxes of cereal ( I usually buy for a target price of $.50 each), 10 boxes of granola bars ( target price $.50 or less a box) etc. this is how I build my stockpile pantry and when I make my meal plan I don’t really look what’s on sale I see what is in my pantry and shop there. I don’t have a big house like some people think, I use a coat closet to house my pantry and it works quit well…. So anywhere you can start a stockpile…
The easiest way to start is to buy 2 or more Sunday papers; a good rule of thumb is buy a paper for each person in your household if it’s an uneven number add a paper to make it even. you always want an even number since BoGo ( Buy One get one Free) deals always accept 2 coupons, which makes a lot of items FREE or very cheap with the coupon. There are a lot of items that I will not pay for like Toothpaste, toothbrush, laundry soap ( we are not picky and usually find ALL ), dish soap, deodorant, shampoo, cold mez, cleaning sprays and a few other items I just can’t think of right now, you can always find a deal to make these items FREE at CVS or walgreens or any other Drugstore and some Grocery store… these ….. It really works and helps you save a LOT of money….
This weeks Sunday paper has 2 Inserts a RP ( redplum) and a SS ( Smart Source), check the preview here what you can expect in your paper on Sunday, now this is just a preview some areas get them all some get different cents off, but most of the time these are the ones we get in the Tampa tribune.
Check the preview HERE to see how many papers you wanna get. Then hold the inserts till a sale comes to make the deal sweeter… I will post deals or link you to the Blog.
