Growing up in Germany we were always thought how to save money; so when I grew up and started my own life, it wasn’t hard for me to save my money. I did end up in Debt at one point, but worked my way out on my own; That was almost 10 years ago. The funny thing is, when people ask how I did it and I tell them what I did, I always get the same response back “That’s exactly what Dave Ramsey said:. I had no idea who Dave Ramsey was nor what he did, so a few years ago after many people telling that I do exactly what he tells everyone to do, I went and goggled him to see what he was all about.
I was excited to see someone with the same “thinking” as I had it about money. I had followed the same scheme for many many years and not even knowing that someone is out there recommending the same things. I was amazed; From then on I told everyone about Dave Ramsey, yet he didn’t help me, cause I didn’t need any help, but a lot of friends and family had issues and I knew he was able to help them. He is doing an amazing job and every so often I like to listen in to his Radio show just to get away from the every day stress.
I was super excited when I found out that Dave Ramsey also has a children’s line, now that was something I could work with. I’m all about teaching children the value of a dollar and how to save, spend and give. These three words SAVE, SPEND and GIVE are very important and most kids nowadays don’t even know how to handle those words.
Our kids are our future so teach them to handle money the right way and maybe one day our country will be in better shape; let’s start them young and that’s the same thing Dave Ramsey had in mind.

I have do admit, the books are wonderful. I read the first book the other day and was instantly hooked on it. I read “Battle of the Chores”. This book was wonderful funny and very smart.
It started out where two little ones a brother and a sister had daily chores and they got paid for their chores, the little sister saved all her money and was able to purchase the product she had in mind, the older brother however wasn’t a big saver and also had a product in mind, but he was short by $5. The little sister offered to loan him the $5 and asked for him to pay her back at a later time. The big brother was excited purchased his product and thought he had it made. Till payday and little sister got paid for all the chores she had done that week and the older brother only got a small portion of his paycheck, because he neglected to finish his chores. he was sad but got very up sad after the little sister had asked him to pay back the money he had owed her. Big Brother of course didn’t even got paid all of his paycheck was not in any way to pay her back, little sister wanted her money and came up with a plan, he should take over all her chores for the week, that way he could earn extra money and pay her back quickly. Big brother agreed to the arrangement and started working on the chores right away, first he did his and his little sister made sure to remind him of her chores as well, he did that all week, he barely had time to play and didn’t even touch the product he had bought. He cleaned, and did as many chores as possible before falling asleep; till one day Mom saw what was going on and spoke to both siblings ad they had a big conversation about saving the money and waiting to purchase the product till you have the cash to pay for it, it is a lot cheaper and a lot less hassle and work.
I loved the story, the pictures are nicely done by Marshall Ramsey and it is very kid friendly. The story behind the books is always about either spending, saving or giving.
These books are a wonderful tool. I really liked them even before I read them to the kids. I told you earlier that I kind of got addicted to the books, well, I read them all before the kids even knew we had them. They were too cute and so true. I loved them!!!
