Have you heard of Playmobil? They are another amazing company from Germany; being a German mom I love to show my kids what I played with when I grew up and not only can I share memories with my children, I can also introduce all my readers to wonderful companies and products that I’m certain your little ones would love and enjoy just as much as I have when I was little.
Playmobil is yet another wonderful company and a household name for high quality products. On our recent trip to Germany I rediscovered Playmobil, being in the US for so long and very little advertisement about Playmobil, I kind of had forgotten about how cool the little play figures and houses where. But on our trip we wend down memory lane and in almost every German household with little ones under the age of 15 there where boxes full of Playmobil; both my boys and my princess started to get excited about those little play figures and the story they could create with them. It wasn’t long before my kids begged me to buy some Playmobil of their own. So, we did.. and in our carry on back to the US we had 4 bags full of Playmobil; NUTS… I know, but the kids loved it and I enjoyed seeing them spend time together, playing and building and just having a good o’l time.
Playmobil has a HUGE selection in the US, mainly on their website or through Toys’R’Us (in store or online). We are still dreaming and my kids are making LOOOOONG Christmas wish lists of all the Playmobil products they need to have in order to get even more imaginative play going…lol….
We discovered through our online search on Playmobil.com that they just introduced a new Playmobil line called E-Rangers/ Future Planet. The best part, it’s for ages 7 and up. I just love that Playmobil isn’t just for the under 5 crowed anymore; now even the older kids can stay away from the PC or video games for a few hours and get creative and spark their imagination with the cool new Future Planet. We had to check it out for you guys.
This super cool E-Rangers Headquarter set takes your kids on a planetary adventure with the Future Planet range. The year is 2113: The E-Rangers discover an unknown planet. In order to be able to live there, they produce their own oxygen with plants. This base is ultra modern and environmentally friendly because its fan is powered by a real solar panel. It is also equipped with a light beam gun, five characters (including a robot), a convertible Racer that changes into a propeller or a jet-car racer and multiple accessories. But the calm of this planet is misleading, because the E-Rangers are not all alone; Of course there are “Gangsters” in this series as well, so if your little one wants a little battle with Good and Bad, they can dream that up and create their very own story.
My Teen and the Princess must have spend hours exploring the sounds and lights of the E-Ranger Headquarter Station; it was super cool. Check out the video below that will give you a detailed look of the Ranger Station and some of the accessories that are sold separate.

This E-Ranger Headquarter set includes 181 parts; which includes 4 figures, computer panels and lots of cool accessories to get your creative play going and spark your imagination. My teen kept saying “This is so cool, check this out Mom… you create light (does need batteries/not included) and the Solar Panel is really turning the fan on (really works.. super cool – the Teen tested it!!)”. The Command Center has a changeable transparencies and the balance Racer can be turned into a propeller or a jet-car racer.
This set will keep your little ones (or older kids) entertained for hours and if they do get bored, there are lots of super cool accessories that will keep them going like the E-Rangers Turbojet with Launch Pad or the E-Rangers Collectobot and many more.
The only issue I saw, the kids needed some help putting the station together, but once the E-Ranger Headquarter was put together it was very sturdy and held up well to our 4 year old and 13 year olds play style. Now my kids will be exploring the new planet for hours and I don’t have to worry about them spending too much time in front of the TV; I can hardly get them to come and eat dinner. That’s how excited they are about any of their Playmobil toys!
For more information, be sure to head over to Playmobil.com and check out ALL the super cool products they have to offer, I know there is something for everyone, every age and every interest. From farms to Airplanes to hospitals and Dinosaurs, Playmobil has you covered. You can also check out Playmobil on Facebook or Twitter to keep up to date with new products and offers.

Had no idea Playmobil had such cool sets! My children played with the castle sets when they were younger and I love how sturdy and well made the sets are. We’ll have to check these out!

I loved Playmobil as a kid. We only had a native american set, but also had most of the happy meal toys from a series McD’s had. I always wanted more, but they had a higher price tag than little people, so that’s what we had more of. (Though as a kid, we then used both together.) I’m trying to get my 2 and 4 year old excited about Playmobil – so I can play too!

My six year old really wants the future planet set for his birthday. Do you think it is age appropriate for a little boy about to be 6. Since the toys are somewhat pricey I want to make sure it is something that will be appropriate. He is very into his starwars figures and ships and has a super imagination. Thanks for your help.

Hi Jamie… Ohhh his age would be PERFECT for him; it is fun and the kids love playing with it, I really think your son would LOVE it and all the cool features, BUT I would probly buy him for his Birthday a smaller accessories like the car, launch pad or something that isn’t that expensive and wait for the BIG item till Christmas, since it really isn’t cheap, but then Toy Kitchens are very expensive, too…lol;
But age 6 is def. a good age ( I also responded to you on Facebook )
Thanks for asking our opinion and I hope we could help make your decision a bit easier and if you have any more questions, please ask, I don’t mind.. :0)…. ohh and would love to hear the outcome…:0)
Have a great day
