Family Game night is huge at our house, so when we were asked to review the new Jungle Speed Game by ASMODEE we were so excited!! Our children range in age from 5 to 16 so finding something we all can enjoy together can sometimes be difficult. This game is exactly what we were looking for !!!!

The new Jungle Speed Game is a lightning-fast game of quick thinking and quicker reflexes. Your keen eye and swift hand will win the day, if you can stop laughing long enough to catch your breath.

Jungle Speed seems simple enough, and everyone can be playing minutes after you deal out the cards. But once you start playing, the chaotic action will take all your concentration. Fifteen minutes later, the game will be over and you can all pause for air – but that just leaves you time to play again!

Flip the cards, spot the matching symbols and grab the totem, but grab faster than your friends, or you’ll be stuck with their cards. Dump your whole hand to win – if you can! Jungle Speed is easy to learn and fast to play, with excitement and fun for families and friends of all ages.

Spotting the matching symbols is challenging enough, but the entire game can change if you see one of the special cards appear. Then you’ll find yourself looking for colors instead of symbols, grabbing for the totem out of turn, or otherwise scrambling to stay a step ahead of everyone else.

How do we play ?

To start, each player receives a pile of cards. They place then face down in front of them. A bright yellow totem is placed in the middle of the table.

• Each player, in turn, reveals the top card of their draw pile. As players become more familiar with the symbols, they flip cards faster. Players are looking for identical cards. Colors do not matter, only symbols.
• If two cars are identical, those players must make a grab for the totem. The faster player then gets to dump off all their cards to their unfortunate adversary.
• To add to the difficulty, certain symbols on the cards are almost identical, which can trick a player into grabbing the totem by mistake.
• Just when players think they’ve got it down, one of three special cards can temporarily change the rules and keep them on the edge. Players may be called to make a grab at once, look for matching colors and not symbols, or even simultaneously slip cards.
• The first person to get rid of all their cards wins the game!
