Lunchbox Tuesday; Pineapple fries and Berry ketchup

July 12, 2011 By Melanie Roberts 15 Comments

Have you heard of Pineapple fries and Berry Ketchup yet? I bet this will be a favorite in your home soon; this is delicious. My kids love this as a snack and they can’t get enough … I  love to use Fresh fruit, but you can use Pineapples from the can if you don’t have the fresh ones and frozen berries as well…

abc

This is what you will need:
1 Fresh pineapple, cut into strips ( like French fry look alike)
1 package of Raspberries ( fresh or frozen), mesh with a fork

Serve the Pineapples and the Raspberries as fries and Ketchup….Smile

Enjoy……

Karen.. we’ve done this for a long time, in Germany it’s like a HUGE Treat and here in Florida, it’s more like an every day food item since we have Pineapples all the time.. but we still love it:-) glad you liked it…soo yummy and simple

Wow, it seems so simple but I have never heard of it! When I first looked at the picture I thought they were potato french fries and regular ketchup, just maybe with some added ingredients to incorporate the pineapple and berries…they really look like french fries!!! I will be trying this with my son! Thanks!

This sounds delicious! I wonder if it would work as well with strawberries, instead of raspberries.

I love this idea!!! I am a ketchup fanatic (although I wish I could avoid it because of the sugar, oh well), but I think I must try it 🙂 It looks to real. Might be a good April Fools food. My son loves dipping so this would be so fun for a little dessert.

Awesome idea! I make fruit shapes and sculptors for my kids lunch and it’s something they look forward to everyday. I’ll just have to try this one out.

When I first clicked I must say I thought, Oh My Goodness No. I guess now I can see it may be something they’d enjoy. We have a difficult time getting my grandson to eat fruits so we keep buying the v8 fruit and veggie drinks and he loves them.
