Lunchopolis Lunchbox {Review & Giveaway}

Enviro Products Lunchopolis Lunch Box

It’s that time of the year—kids are heading back to school and you’re starting to adjust your daily schedule. Maybe you’re going back to work and trying to figure out how to handle it all in one day.

Lunchopolis

Have you ever considered that packing a brown bag lunch for yourself or your children is increasing the amount of trash you create?  Whether you realize it or not, all of the plastic and paper bags, napkins, product wrapping and containers, plastic utensils, plastic water bottles and juice drinks that get thrown away add up. According to NewDream.org, over 380 billion plastic bags, sacks and wraps are consumed in the U.S. each year. These items can take up to 1,000 years to biodegrade and ultimately take a toll on the earth. This is where Lunchopolis comes in to solve this growing problem!

120_4050120_4053

Lunchopolis is designed with everything you need to pack a healthy, planet-friendly lunch which means no more sandwich bags, tinfoil, juice boxes or other unnecessary waste to throw away. Ranging in a variety of colors, each Lunchopolis lunchbox comes with a drinking bottle and modular containers that are all reusable. Lunchopolis makes it easy to pack a lunch whether you’re going to work or school, spending time outdoors, or on the go! All Lunchopolis products are BPA-free and litter-free, making them healthy for both kids, adults and the environment! Be sure to visit Enviro Products for more information; you can also follow on Twitter.

What did we think of Lunchopolis?
I have to admit, we’ve reviewed quite a few lunchboxes here on 2Boys+1Girl=OneCrazyMom, but this one is on the top of our list. It’s not only BPA Free, CPSIA Tested, microwave safe and dishwasher safe, but it also is very sturdy and functional.

This lunchbox at first glance looked like any regular sized bag that you can purchase at any of your favorite retailers, but once we opened the box up, the volume of food you can pack in it is amazing!

120_4045120_4046120_4048120_4049

The bottle will hold 15.9oz of liquid! We usually send water to school and since this bottle is freezer safe, you can actually freeze your water so it will do double duty. Keep your food cold as an instant ice pack and the water will be nice and cold once lunch time rolls around. We loved that aspect of it and it worked very well. The drink bottle has a drink spout, which was nice for my toddler and even the boys loved it.

There are also 4 containers: 2 smaller ones that would be nice for snacks and fruits and 2 larger ones that could hold your sandwich, lunch or any other larger item. The fun part is that they all nestle on top of each other and fit inside the insulated lunchbox perfectly. There is also a little bit of room in the lunchbox to add napkins, utensils or maybe a lunchbox love note :0).

(Coffee Cup not included, I used it to show you a size comparison:0) )

The lunchbox itself is really cool. It comes in a few different colors and has a two zippers like a big bag you can zip from each side. This is great—the quality is superb. I loved the slick and clean design; it doesn’t stand out or attract a lot of attention but once you open it, I’m sure you will get a “WOW – All this was inside this little bag?”.

The inside of the lunchbox also has a little name tag, which I thought was very thoughtful for the company to include; usually you write all over the lunchbox or all over the inside. There is also a net inside where you can add notes or napkins and they will stay in place.

120_4309

This lunchbox is AWESOME and we HIGHLY recommend this to any of our readers with two thumbs up!! Clean up is easy, just use a wet cloth and wipe the inside out and even the outside if needed; comes clean in a snap.

Where to purchase:
You can purchase your own through Amazon.comclip_image001 and retails for about $30.00 which sounds at first a bit pricey. I must admit, if I wouldn’t have had a chance to check it out, and being the frugal mom that I am, I probably would have skipped right over it. BUT now that I’ve had a chance to thoroughly check out this bag, I think it is honestly worth it. It will definitely save you a lot of time and money and you won’t have to buy aluminum foil, plastic baggies, drink bags or anything else that you usually toss inside a lunch box.

So yes, I would still recommend it even with a price tag of $30.00. The quality is really good, will keep the food cold and nicely organized, and you also have portion control for those who need to watch their food intake. The possibilities are endless!

I’m super excited that I have one Enviro Products Lunchopolis Lunchboxclip_image001[1] to giveaway to one lucky 2Boys+1Girl=OneCrazyMom reader. Be sure to enter the giveaway below.

My hubby has been packing his lunch everyday for the last 20 yrs and this lunchopolis lunchbox would be perfect for him. It would certainly keep us throwing away so many plastic bags, even though we reuse them as many times as possible, they have to go sometime.

I want to win this lunchopolis lunchbox because I have a 6 year old who is so picky that buying a lunch is not an option. Unless they served peanut butter sandwiches, cheetos and grapes or oranges for lunch every day.
