You know I love to clean, a few weeks ago I introduced you to my all time favorite mop my Shark Steam Cleaner; but sometimes if you are in a hurry you need something quick; I’ve tried a lot of different mops from the Swiffer Wet Jet to the Clorox Spray mop and even the Libman Freedom Spray mop.
The beauty behind these mops, they are simple and quick. If your toddler happens to drop her popsicle, or cup of Cool Aid, you can grab them quick and run and clean it up, no cords attached and you can even grab it and clean at any moment’s notice. They are all light weight and simple; yet they are all different in their own way.
I decided to compare the Swiffer Wet Jet to the New Libman Freedom Spray Mop and check out my video below.
The reason I reviewed the Swiffer against the Libman Freedom Spray mop was easy, I already had the Swiffer in house, I used it way back when before my cleaning solution ran out, ever since I haven’t used it!! I’m not saying the mop is bad, no not all all, in any way I liked it, but as you can tell from the video there are a few points that I do not like on the Swiffer and one was price factor. I don’t want to spend $5+ per box of cleaning pads and another $5+ for a bottle of cleaning solution just so I can clean my house in a convenient way.
That being said, I really liked the Libman Freedom Spray mop; it had all the features that I wanted and value in a mop; almost like Libman checked all the reviews and suggestions and created a brand new Mop that Mom’s will actually love to use!
The unique thing about the Libman mop is:
- You will not have to buy special cleaning solutions, you can fill up the container with ANY solution YOU like!!!
- The cleaning pads are completely reusable, toss them in the wash and you are good to go
- NO batteries required, the hand trigger will release just the right amount of solution
The new Libman Freedom mop is a great alternative if you are looking for a new cost effective mop, it runs about $30 for the mop, but if you go HERE you can get a $3.00 Coupon , making the price similar to the other mops. The best part is, once you make the initial purchase, no extra fees…!!! I love it.
Cleaning wise, this mop also did a wonderful job of cleaning my Ceramic tile and my Pergo. I do have to say, this mop was very hard to push on my rough ceramic tile floor ( guess they call them unfinished tiles??) and I had some issues with my back trying to push the mop across the unfinished tile. On the Pergo and the “glazed” ceramic tile floor I had NO issues at all; the Pergo was the easiest, the mop was almost gliding across the floor, so easy. I loved it.
This Crazy Mom will defiantly recommend this Libman mop to anyone who is in the market for a new mop, also very cost effective if you are on a budget or like me “just cheap”.
You can purchase your own Libman Freedom Mop at any local retailer like Walmart, Target or through Amazon.com and it retails for about $30.00. For more information check out Libman on the Web, Facebook or Twitter @libmancompany
I was provided with the Libman Freedom mop for my review, all opinions are 100% my own; I was not asked to compare Swiffer vs. Libman. No other compensation was nor will be received.

Thank you so much for this video! I have been using Swiffer for a long time but have never been totally happy with it….although my grandson loves it! I love the idea of reusable pads and plan to invest in the Libman. It’s so helpful to know what others think about a product before putting down a chunk of money. Thanks for all the reviews that you do:)

I have a swifter mop and I have to say I love it! I think it does a wonderful job, BUT.. the pads and the cleaner really adds up!!
I’ve wanted to get one of these Libman mops, but they don’t sell them in my area, Dont sell a lot of things I need in my area.. very little town.lol I have entered a few giveaways trying to win one, but luck wasn’t looking my way the day of the draw. I bet they are nice, and cost a lot let to use.. Someday maybe I find one. we go to the city a couple times a year for bird stuff(no pet stores here either) maybe I get one some time im up there. It’s so far we usally go to one store(the pet store) stop and eat and head home.

Do you have a recipe for a mop solution? I’ve used so many, and they streak on my tile floor (even the Swiffer, which worked the best). Something simple and streak-free would be great!
CrazyMom says
Alisa, actually Vinegar and Water works best for me; streak free and no residue, the vinegar will resolve any “smell” issues in the house and even disinfect the floor.. and is cheap.. give that a try… a small amount of vinegar and warm water will work… would love to hear back from ya

HI ~~~~~I have been using the Libman Swiffer for a good while and today while I was using it, the bottom broke off the handle. Is there some way I can fix this? I always loved the Libman because when my wood floor ws put in the company told me to use only a certain cleaner and this is when I fond Libman to put in my own solution. Thank You Stella Rosko (kismetswan@aol.com)
