Can you believe that it’s the end of July? Neither can I. Kids have a few short weeks left of their summer vacation and to be honest, they are ready to head back to school to meet up with all their friends and have something to do all day instead of just hanging out at home. I’m kind of excited for them to head back, too. It was a challenge this year to keep them all busy.
We do have a new pool, but the weather in July was just not having it. We maybe were able to spend an hr. in the pool the entire month of July, the rest it just rained, rained and rained some more. Very unusual for Florida in the Summer. The only good thing, thanks to my Netflix subscription we were able to check out some of the oldies as well as some new shows that debuted in July.
As always, I wanted to share them with you, aren’t you glad it rained so much for us and we were able to do a Netflix marathon for almost an entire month? I know, it was a lifesaver that’s for sure.
This is what my daughter watched in the morning while I cleaned the house and made sure all the muddy paw prints and footprints are wiped away every single day.
She loved the shows, she is a big Sofia the First fan so this came in handy, thank god we have her on Netflix.
The boys kept themselves busy with their favorite Netflix shows as well, some old ones that they heard me talk about and they just had to check it out like the Terminator or Trailer Park Boys but they also enjoyed some of the new adventures that were just released like How to Train Your Dragon 2, National Treasure and Planet Earth.
For our weekly Family Movie nights we had a few extra special shows that I had seen would arrive on Netflix in July and I made sure I kept those for the entire family to watch in the evening. We really enjoyed Penguins of Madagascar: The Movie and H2O: Mermaid Adventures: Season 2. We are looking forward to watching Marvel’s Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H.: Season 2 (release on 7/28) and Turbo FAST (release 7/31) in the next few days, the kids have it already marked on their calendar.
We had another great month with Netflix, watching lots of fun shows, some new ones and a few oldies but Goldies and thanks to Netflix we didn’t have the summer blues with all the rain, thanks for keeping us busy on all those rainy days.
Can’t wait to see all the new releases Netflix has planned for next month, we love our movie nights and always look forward to it. Do you have a favorite Netflix movie that you enjoy watching with the family? Would love to hear it.

I was able to experience Netflix a few weeks ago while dog sitting. I binge watched the first 2 seasons of Cedar Cove. It was awesome. I am seriously thinking about subscribing as there will always be something for my grandkids to watch.

Netflix has tons of great shows, and my son loves watching so many shows on it. He got a subscription, but I have yet to watch a show. I will have to check it out and see what they have to watch. I am just not a big TV watcher.

Netflix is the best for rainy days! I’ve watched so many great shows and documentaries that I wouldn’t have otherwise known about because of the suggestions it gives.

I wish I had this it would be helpful to us too.

We rely on Netflix, for TV shows and for movies. It seems that broadcast TV is mainly reality shows which don’t interest us at all, so we turn to Netflix more and more these days.
