No Bake Oreo Cookie Truffles #Delicious

March 16, 2013 By Melanie Roberts 15 Comments

Simple Oreo No Bake Tuffles 9

My boys love Oreo’s and since my Teen had such a bad week I decided to treat all of the kids to something simple yet delicious. This would be perfect for your Easter dessert table. Will take you no time at all and even the kids could help you make them… BUT…. beware…. they will be gone in no time. SOOO good! You can change the colors for different occasions and dress them up or down, so much fun and still the yummy gooey taste of cookie dough.

This is what you need to make the No Bake Oreo Truffles

Simple Oreo No Bake Tuffles

  • 1 package of Oreo’s (I bought the Family Size, but only used 2 rows of cookies)
  • 1/2 package of Cream Cheese
  • 1 package of Candy Melts
  • Cupcake liners

This is how to make the Truffles:

  1. Ground all the cookies very fine in a food processor or blender
  2. mix the cream cheese into your cookies
  3. Mix, mix, mix… it will turn into a cookie dough ball (I used my hands, was the easiest and quickest)
  4. Form your cookie dough into individual size cookie “balls”- easy if you use a spoon
  5. Put the individual size cookie balls onto a cookie sheet lined with wax paper
  6. put in the freezer for 10-15 minutes to harden

While the cookie balls are in the freezer prepare the chocolate….

  1. Put your chocolate into a microwave safe dish and melt for 1-3 minutes
  2. stir and if not melted all the way, put back in the microwave for 30sec. till it’s nice and melted
  3. Separate your chocolate into batches, if you like, into different colors, add food coloring and mix.

I found a spoon works best to roll the Oreo Cookie balls in the chocolate; some people use tooth picks, but the spoon worked really well; place the Oreo Cookie Truffles back onto the Cookie Sheet lined with wax paper and when all are done, place in the freezer for a few minutes for them to set.

So yummy, tastes just like chocolate cookie dough… YUMMM… they are so simple and will be a big hit in your home, I guarantee it. My kids ate them up in no time and my Teen was ecstatic over the Oreo Cookie surprise.

Oooh, love those! That would be a really nice treat to have for guests at Easter…. if they made it to the table that is, I can see that my kids would certainly gobble up, including the big kid I married lol

These sound great, but do you crush them whole or without the white filling?
