PC Game review : Thomas & Friends Misty Island Rescue

in Game Review, Product Review

If you have a toddler in the house, you know, the kids nowadays are born with a PC in their hand. I don’t know how but I feel like my toddler already knows more about computers than I probly ever will know. So it was no surprise that she managed this Thomas and Friends: Misty Island Rescue with little to no help. My Toddler spend a few days “playing” this game now and she can’t get enough of Thomas her Friend, she calls it.

What did mom think?

I loved the fact that this game is for age 2-5, it is very difficult to find games under the age of 3, so I was excited. My toddler is almost 3 and mastered the game on her own with just a little help of me or the big brothers, I was next to her at all times and she just did great.

Thomas and Friends: Misty Island Rescue will introduce your toddler or preschooler to Numbers & Counting, Puzzles & problem Solving, Language Development, Matching, Memory and lots more.

This game will prepare your toddler for preschool with Preschool basics like Pre-math, colors, shapes matching and counting. The physical development gets a work out as well with the very important Hand – Eye coordination, spatial orientation and more; don’t forget about the Cognitive Ability like memory, focusing, perception and problem solving.

This is a wonderful game for little Boys as well as Girls, everyone loves Thomas and friends and who better to teach your little one than Thomas and his friends. This Thomas and Friends: Misty Island Rescue has 10 exciting games and actives for all skill levels.

Your toddler can play, grow and learn with Thomas from basic skills to exciting challenges all in one game, that surely won’t get old, anytime soon.

This is a wonderful game, that I also enjoyed playing with my toddler and even the older Tween brother got caught playing a few minutes with Thomas and friends.

This could also be a great game  start homeschooling your toddler 30 min or so a day to get them prepared for Kindergarten down the road.

As with any PC games, or electronic games this is a game, kids will need to be supervised and this does not constitute a babysitter or a miracle tool, it is a tool to help your little one understand and learn but you as the parent still need to take an active role in helping your toddler learn.

As mentioned before, this is a PC game and requires the following:

Windows version:
Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7
512 MB of RAM and a CD-Rom Drive
Macintosh Version:
Mac OS X 10.4 or later
512 MB of RAM
CD Rom Drive

This game is from Novadevelopment and retails for $19.99; you can purchase this game through Novadevelopment.com or through Amazon.com
as well as your favorite online or local retailer.

I was provided with the  product listed above for my honest review. No other compensation was received. All opinions are 100 % my own.

We have this game and we LOVE it! I love that my son can do this all by himself! He’s such a nut about trains and the videos incorporated in this game is perfect for preschoolers!

Nice review on Thomas Friends Misty Island Rescue. I’ve been looking through some game for my little cousin, I think I’d go with this one. Looks like a perfect game for him to play on the weekend.
