Ready Set Grover Wii Game {Review & Giveaway}

August 18, 2011 By Melanie Roberts 34 Comments

I’m super excited to announce the brand new game from Sesame Street Ready, Set, Grover! we love Sesame Street and we love the Wii, what a great combination this will be for the Toddler. We’ve already reviewed a few other Sesame Street games a few month back and loved them, we had high hopes on this game.

We sure weren’t disappointed. The Toddler was super excited when I showed her theThe Grover Wii Remote cover included in the Wii version of Sesame Street: Ready, Set, Grover! name game, it also like the other Sesame Street Wii games comes with a remote cover, making it easier for the little ones to hold the Wii remote, but also allowing you to cover up buttons that are not in use and don’t need to be touched by your Toddler.

So get your little ones, Ages 3-6 off the couch and check out some of the features for this game.

  • Promotes healthy habits for life including physical activity, good nutrition, hygiene, and rest and relaxation
  • Provides easy to follow audio-visual directions
  • Use a second Wii Remote to drop-in and assist when needed
  • Game difficulty adapts to your child’s level
  • Includes a Grover Wii Remote character cover, minimizing unnecessary buttons and making it easier for your child to grip and play
  • Centralized parents area allows you to monitor your child’s progress and customize the game to individual children

Grover, Abby Cadabby and Elmo from Sesame Street: Ready, Set, Grover!Active gameplay by Elmo and Grover from Sesame Street: Ready, Set, Grover!Elmo and Abby Cadabby from Sesame Street: Ready, Set, Grover!

This game also has the ability to be played in English or Spanish. I LOVE that, I’m so excited that finally the game industry is following suite and adding different languages to their games. Yet Spanish isn’t my language of choice, I love the concept and I’m super excited to see a start. Your little one can learn Spanish/English by just playing this game. Trust me, they will understand it after a few times. I know, we are doing the same thing with our language of choice.

Besides that the game now has two language options, I also love that I can monitor my child’s progress every step of the way. My Toddler had a blast playing this game, she quickly learned what buttons to push and how to get around. It’s wonderful to find some educational games for the Wii. I’m glad that the little ones are being incorporated with learning games as well. This game is a lot of fun, and I bet your little one won’t sit still long, get them off  the couch and jumping in front of your Wii.

Sesame Street: Ready, Set, Grover! takes kids on a healthy habits adventure withSesame Street: Ready, Set, Grover! game logo their favorite Sesame Street friends: Grover, Elmo, and Abby Cadabby. This exciting obstacle course encourages healthy habits through fun, active gameplay utilizing classic Wii mini-game game mechanics based in the motion-sensing capabilities of the Wii Remote/Wii remote Plus. Through this, young children of all fitness levels will come to relish fun physical activity like stretching, jumping, dancing, as well as benefit from lessons that reinforce the importance of good nutrition and hygiene.

You can purchase this brand new Wii game through Amazon.com and retails for $39.99; this would be a great game to incorporate into your daily routine for Homeschool or just while the older kids do their homework to keep the little ones busy. Wonderful game and we defiantly recommend you check it out and spend a few hours having fun with your little tike.

I do want to warn you, this is a kids game, the graphics are fun but not like the most High Tech games, the games are also a lot of fun, BUT keep in mind this is geared towards the younger crowed like 3 year old and up, the games will be boring to you as a Mom or Dad, BUT will be perfect for your little one. The reason I mention this, I always forget that this isn’t a game for ME, this is for my little ones, for them it’s a fun learning game, because they don’t know the answer of the back like you do. As long as you keep that in mind, it is a wonderful educational game.

    I’d like to win this for my 3 yr old son. I think it’s a Wii game he could feel good about playing. Most of the games we have are for his older brother and are challenging for him
