by Melanie Roberts

in Brunch Sunday

I found this idea somewhere a few month ago and we love it. We make it quit often and the kids always get a kick out of it. It is so cool, have you made toast & eggs yet??

You Need:
Toast
Eggs
Cookie Cutter, Sandwich cutter, or even a cup to cut out part of the Toast

This is how to make it:

  1. Cut out your Sandwich
  2. Spread butter on the Toast
  3. ”Toast” the bread in the pan, add egg inside the hole and wait till one side is golden brown, turn and wait for second side to turn golden brown….

Serve.. Smile

I’ve made this for years, it’s my favorite way to eat eggs.

We love this way of eggs and toast. I think my sister calls it ‘eggs in a pocket’ or ‘eggs in a blanket’ — and I just call it delicious. ;-)

We havent had these in ages (I forgot all about them!). We call them “Hollywood Eggs”, though I’m not quite sure where the name came from.

Instead of circles, we cut squares. They’re called “Birdy in a Window” at our house!
