We all know how frustrating it can be, especially when you have a baby that can’t really communicate and you just can’t figure out what they want. Have you ever thought about teaching your Baby, Toddler and even preschooler sign language? It’s a new trend in America and I can honestly say, it’s a wonderful new trend. Your little ones can communicate with you from an early age on and will treasure the gift of sign language way past baby hood; it can be so helpful throughout their entire life.
Louis Sattler and her friends created an amazing DVD called Baby, Toddler, and Preschool Sign Language. This DVD 35 min video is very powerful and if you watch it with your little one, you know within minutes how amazing and excelled the DVD is when it comes to helping kids develop social and emotional literacy.
My Princess is 4 and she actually LOVES this DVD, it is short and sweet, but the perfect length to keep her entertained and learning along the way. It was kind of funny, because she snug this DVD into the Car for our trip to Germany; she watched the entire DVD for the 4 hours we where on the road to the airport to Miami that day; I had no clue until a few days ago when I searched the entire house for the DVD and found it in her DVD player in the car. She immediately ran up and told me she wants to watch it again; that explains her “sign” and hand gestures the last few month. I loved it!! I sat down with my Princess and we both watched the DVD and it made sense, now I know what she was doing with her hands, I had no idea, I thought she was just being silly, little did I know she studied the DVD for hours and now knows Sign language as well as English and German, what an amazing talent to have. BUT we couldn’t have done it without the fun and wonderful DVD from Louis Sattler and her friends.
Another thing I LOVE about this DVD, you see immediate results, the kids don’t know they are “learning” but you will see it right away; just LOVE IT!!
Check out some info about the DVD to give you an idea what it is all about and it’s no surprise that this DVD won the “Preferred Kidlutions Product Award”.
