We went to Wal-Mart today…. if you know me, you also know that Wal-Mart is not a place I like to go. Our Wal-Mart has the most rude employees, no one is ever helpful, happy or excited to be at work.. I know I’m not always happy at my job, BUT do I let my clients know that.. NO.. I get paid to do my job so put on a smile and at least pretend that you are having fun while you are in contact with costumers…. and it is always crowded, no matter what time I go, if I go at 11:30Am or 2:30AM it’s always a chore… So today Hubby talked me into going to Wal-Mart to check out some movies that he and the boys wanted, so I agreed. Maybe, just maybe did they change …..
We got to our Wal-Mart around 2PM, had to park in the last row as usual, but to me that’s no big deal, I don’t mind the walking, and I have to check out some OTC for the kids. I know school isn’t even out yet, but have you thought about when school starts in August, how sick most kids get because they are back in school and around all the germs that we, while they are home, protect them from? Well, that’s what I wanted to do today, I was on a mission, a mission to put together a “Well Kit” for my Tween with OTC products that I can find…
So off I went into the Health department, my first thought was Vitamins, that would be a great start, then we went on to check out the Allergy medication and Tylenol, you got to have lots of Tylenol when the little ones get sick…. What about Tooth brush and Toothpaste.. most defiantly needed and a great reminder once school starts to switch out the old and bring in a new toothbrush. There was so much I could add to my kit, some items I had at home to add already, some I grabbed while at Wal-Mart…. Have you thought about putting a “well” kit together for your little ones, with all the medications they may need throughout the year. The best way to do that would be to buy things while they are on sale and with coupons, right now is a good time to stock up on those cold medications, cough and flu stuff… Then put it all in a box or basket and label for each kid, once the little ones get sick you can just grab out of their kit what you need and then replace it at the next sale…..
If you want, you can read my entire Wal-Mart shopping trip here through my Whirrl, documented with pictures and all…..
Would love to hear what you would add or will add to your Back to school “well” kit….
Overall, it was a fun trip with the Family, not so much fun at Wal-Mart, but a nice thing that we could do together as a Family and we did find some great produce on sale like Strawberries for $1.66 a package…
I was compensated for my time to complete this shop by Collective Bias. All opinions are my own.
