Hard to believe but it’s Back to School time. Didn’t we just talk about Graduation, Summer Time fun and vacations? Well, all that is in the past, now we are talking about all the things our kids need in school these days and some items that you should add to your Must Have list like the Cheapest Wireless Plan in town along with a very affordable phone for your Teen, High Schooler or even College Freshmen.
This year I will have one starting College and one starting High school, hard to believe but my babies are growing up, at least I have my baby girl still, but she will be a 1st grader this year, too. We sure have our hands full and long lists of school supplies that the kids need to have to make this school year a success.
You have heard me many times over on the blog, talking about the cheapest wireless plan in town and how happy I have been with my Family Mobile Service from Walmart. We are slowly moving the entire family over to Walmart Best Plans and my freshmen in High school was next on my list to get a new phone. We are finally out of his contract and now it’s time to save some money while keeping him connected to it all.
I added the Unlimited Talk, Text and Data/Web plan to my Supply list and off to Walmart I went to get all the Back to School items the kids needed. While looking at different phone options I was totally surprised at the phone options Walmart had to offer for their Family Mobile plan from iPhone 5 to a Galaxy and many other phones that would work with the plan and could be purchased right there in the store. I have to admit, after we got our first Family Mobile phone last year I haven’t looked at the phone selection much, we weren’t ready to upgrade at that time so I had no idea what phones I could expect in the store. I had a major smile on my face when I saw a super cool smartphone on Rollback for only $29.88, the phone is regular price $79.88. I knew this would be the phone for my Teen and very affordable. We all know Teen’s don’t take good care of their phones and no matter how often I tell them to be careful and to remember where they placed it, we always end up with broken phones, a broken screen or an lost phone.
For under $30 I can get him a super cool smartphone with all the bells and whistles but it won’t break my heart and budget if I would have to replace it down the road (shhh … don’t tell the Teen that!). We are familiar with the quality of the unlimited Text, Talk and Data/Web plan and know exactly what to expect, my Teen can’t talk himself out of this one when I can’t reach him or he ignores my Txt or call. I know 100% that my plan has a very good signal and never dropped a call.
Adding a new line to your existing plan or starting a brand new plan is very affordable you will get unlimited, YES unlimited, Talk, Text and Data/Web a month and it’s only $34.88 if you activate your first line, a month. I’m excited to get my son’s school year off to a good start and saving a bundle on his wireless plan. The price will remain the same for the life of the service plan for the primary line if purchased during the promotional time period (7/18-10/31).
If you are new to the Family Mobile Family, you need to make sure to pick up a starter SIM card kit with your phone, it’s a onetime investment of $25.00 to get your new phone ready for the Family Mobile unlimited Talk, Text and Data/Web service. Setting up your new phone is super easy and all can be done online. Our phone of choice, the Alcatel One Touch Evolve comes with the battery, charger for both conventional outlet as well as a USB cord so you can charge the phone in the car, the PC at school or at home. Making it super easy to keep your phone charged.
I’m very impressed with the many features this phone comes with and for only $29.88 a big bargain. Check out some of the features that I think are super cool in the Alcatel One Touch Evolve
Pretty awesome options for such an affordable phone, don’t you think?

Be sure to add the Walmart Best Plan Family Mobile to your shopping list when you head out to buy all those school supplies that your school and teacher need to make this year a successful year for your student, because the new generation needs #Phones4School. I encourage you to check out Family Mobile Phones on the web to get more information and I guarantee you will be as happy as we are with our phones and plan. One more thing, Family Mobile is finally on Twitter, be sure to head over.

This is great! I love my smartphone, but the monthly bill is crazy. I think I might take a little road trip to Wal-Mart and see what I can see.

I love my smartphone, but my plan is crazy expensive (like most plans). I think I’ll take a trip to Wal-Mart and see what they have to offer.

This looks like a really nice phone at a good price. I really need to update my phone. I will have to look into this plan, I think its cheaper than mine and I don’t have internet.

This is perfect for my son. He is starting the sixth grade, and he wants to ride his bike to school everyday. I want to allow him some independence, but I’m nervous….what if something happens on his ride? What happens if he has a mechanical breakdown or accident? I need him to carry a cheap phone for my own peace of mind lol. This would work.

The unlimited plan is the way to go with kids for sure! They simply don’t have the maturity to monitor their usage. Heck, even some adults don’t!
