About Us

Hi I’m Melanie, mom of Two Boys and One Little Girl; I’m so blessed to have my three blessings along with a wonderful husband. I grew up in Germany and moved to the US about 15 years ago. We are now a happy little family in central Florida. Besides being a "baby" Blogger, I also work full time outside the house and I’m a soccer mom, a cook, a maid, a cap driver, a bank, an accountant, a coupon queen and best of all I’m still JUST a MOM.. I’m so excited that you found my blog and follow me in this new adventure. You can always contact me, I would love to hear from you :-)

Let me introduce you to the Teen#1, Teen# 2 and the Princess:

kitzingen (108)The Teeen#2  currently attends a Technology School and is in the 7th grade. He loves anything to do with Computers and electronics; Reading books is one of the biggest hobbies the Teen has, besides being a bookworm, he likes to spend time outside in the yard or in the woods; give him a fishing pole and he will be at the lake in no time; He enjoys spending time with his family as well as hanging out with his friends. The Teen is the first one on the couch, popcorn and snacks in hand for movie night, put in a good movie and you made his day. The Teen is your perfect pick for any Tween/Teen related products and he will hold nothing back, he tells it how it is, whether you like it or not… . The Teen is bilingual in English and German, raised in Florida and had a blast on our visit Germany in the Summer 2012.

kitzingen (329)The Princess is the little sunshine in the family and she knows it; she is the expert for any Pre-K related items and she will tell you how it is; if a product will make the cut or not is up to her. She enjoys anything that makes noise, but also likes to sit down and read, she loves books. As most Girls her age, she is also a drama queen and her favorite thing to do is drive her big "bubbas" crazy. Give her some paper and pens and she will color for hours, or let her know you have a new Toy and she will like you forever. The our Princess is bilingual in German and English and Music is her best friend.

kitzingen (107)

The Teen#1 is trying to be the tuff Teen, but deep down he is a wonderful kid; he attends 11th grade at a Technology High School and he enjoys all the cool new gadgets that are constantly coming out on the market and stays up to date with music and anything new; he is the get to person for any Teen related reviews and questions I may have. The Teen takes pride in his work and his biggest accomplishment and honor was being elected captain of the JV soccer Team two years in a  row. If the Teen isn’t playing his Electric Guitar or Bass, which he thought himself, you can find him on the soccer fields practicing his moves. His biggest dream is to one day play for a German Soccer Club called “F.C. Bayern Munchen” or the German National Team would be a dream as well. He enjoys spending time with his family and his friends and he will never miss a family game night. The Teen is involved with a lot of extra curriculum activities from volunteering at the local Library once or twice a week to being an assistant soccer coach for the little league. The Teen was born in Germany and is tri-lingual in English, German and Spanish.

I am a new follower, and I’m really enjoying your blog! My hubby and I spent two years in Germany and loved it! I’m really impressed that your daughter is fluent in German. That is awesome. I have a cousin who married a dutchman, and they and live in Holland. Her two kids speak English and Dutch both. I think it’s so cool for them to learn two languages at such a young age!

Hi Angela;
Where in Germany were you guys? It’s so simple for little ones to learn the language and a fun part the little ones will teach the older ones even Grandma and grandpa some German words, my Toddler is very picky about what word to use like she will not say car, she tells me it’s an AUTO mom…!!.. they are so funny, but it will help them so much later on.. :-) Thanks for stoping by, we love to have ya :-)

Hi – what a great site!

I can’t wait to check out the coupon section and the recipes. I just started a Facebook Fan page that has ideas for parents on activities and inexpensive (or free!) places to eat.
