I know, I was quiet and totally absent last week. I had that crazy idea last Sunday that I want an Office Makeover. Well, at first all I wanted was for hubby to build the desk like you see above, then I decided I wanted new floors and later on I came up with another fun idea, paint the walls. After all that was done I had the brilliant idea that the ceiling needs paint as well. Yup, totally did everything backwards… what was I thinking?
I had my internet turned off most of the week and all I did was work, work work on the office. So far what the picture looks like is what we got.. not nearly finished, I’m waiting on fabric to make curtains and then I can start to organize and decorate. So be on the lookout for some interesting posts coming up for all you DYI people out there.
I haven’t even thought about dinner, so I took a few minutes and made myself sit down to come up with a Menu for the week. It sure helped last week in all the hustle and bustle knowing what we had for dinner, so I know it will be great this week.
P.s. today is also April fools day… any crazy stories you have to tell?
Monday: Simple Fish Tacos with Salsa and Guacamole
Tuesday: Simple Mini Pizzas with Salad
Wednesday: Sandwich with cold cuts and salad
Thursday: Ranch Chicken Enchiladas
Friday: Schnitzel and German Potato salad
Saturday: French Fries and Curry Wurst
Sunday: Mom’s night off, dinner at Mimi’s house

I am thankful that my family has always been nice enough on April Fool’s Day. Once I was given one of those fake lottery tickets. When I began to cry when I discovered it was a fake, everyone decided not to play jokes on me anymore. I end up making enough silly mistakes for everyone to enjoy throughout the year anyway.

I need more desk surface than that, otherwise would love that floor plan! Though maybe if I had more cubbie storage I wouldn’t have so much spread on my desk. Hmm…
