Frito-Lay announced the release of a quieter 100% compostable SunChips bag. I’m soo excited, since the old bag was very very loud, especially at the office. I couldn’t sneak into my bag without any of my co-workers hearing it. Which may or may not be a good thing, depending on where you are.
After six months of testing, the SunChips research team found that by using a different adhesive that still met performance requirements, they were able to significantly reduce the noise of the bag. As before, the next-generation bag is still made from a renewable, plant-based material called PLA, or polylactic acid, and is 100% compostable when placed in a hot, active compost bin.
My Teen and my Toddler put the bag to the test. I hope you can hear the difference, we certainly can hear the difference here at the house, but not sure if this comes through in the video. Now we tried to create a “good” video, but after 5 takes we decided, that we are not professional video takers and this is just how it is at the crazy mom’s house… you either love it or leave it..:-) Enjoy…..
