I decided to showcase some more German dishes that I try to create for my family so my kids can get a taste of Germany here in Florida. You will find a lot of German recipes in the next few weeks, I hope you will enjoy our little tour of Germany and don’t be afraid to try one or the other recipe…. All have been cooked in our house and are a hit.. I hope you will like them as well…..This pancake is made in your blender and super easy.. clean up is a breeze.( a mixer would work if you don’t have a blender).
You can use a 12-inch fancy ovenware dish or a 13 X 9 inch baking dish.
Be ready to serve it immediately – it’s like a soufflé. It’s nicely puffed, looks delicious, and serves 6 to 8 people (4 if they are extra hungry!).

Ingredients:
- 6 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 3 tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 apples, peeled and sliced
- 2 tbsp. brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425° F.
- In a blender, mix eggs, milk, flour, sugar, and salt
- Put butter in baking dish and place dish in oven until butter is melted.
- Add apple slices to baking dish and leave in oven until butter sizzles. This can take about 5 minutes. Do not let apples brown.
- Remove baking dish from oven and pour batter over apples. Sprinkle with brown sugar. Return to oven and bake 20 minutes or until browned.
- Serve immediately.
I still can smell it.. this is delicious.. Guten Appetit…

This sounds amazing!! And I can never eat stuff like this in a restaurant or from a mix because I’m lactose intolerant, so being able to make it myself and use lactose-free milk instead will be perfect. Do you use skim milk or whole milk or just whatever?
mausekind says
I usually use skim milk 2% because that’s what we usually have, but I’ve used Heavy Cream or whole milk before, too.. but the lactose free would work just as well, I’m sure.. would love to hear how you liked it once you tried it with the lactose free milk 🙂

I recall making a recipe just like this in home economics class in high school. So easy and delicious! I’d have to create a gluten free version for myself now, but it brings back great memories all the same.
