I did a little Search this evening and found out that people had some questions about the Folio360; let me go into a bit more detail and see if I can help the one or the other iPad owner make a decision on this case.
I was asked about the upright standing position if it is sturdy; let me tell you I thought it was very sturdy, my toddler had it sitting on the table and she was playing a game in the upright position without any problem; if you know children, then you know they aren’t careful or worried about things; they just take it the way it is; my toddler wasn’t very gentle on the case nor the iPad and it wasn’t falling down or wobbly at all, BUT you have to keep it on a solid table, counter or anything like that in order for it to be sturdy; if you are sitting on the plane and the iPad with the Folio360 in your lap, it won’t be as sturdy and may close on you; I tried it a few times this afternoon sitting on the couch and it was holding up well until I moved around too much then it closed on me, but if you are sitting with something solid underneath it will hold up very well for sure. The sideways position holds up very well no matter where the iPad is sitting; I had no problem with it closing on me at all.
The case is to my knowledge very well made, it doesn’t feel like it is cardboard and just a cover over it; it is flexible yet strong enough to keep your iPad protected; the case is held together by a magnet and I love the way it closes up. It is almost like a little briefcase, looks and feels like it, too.

I have another readers request, I’ve taken pictures of the iPad to show the “thickness” of the case. It really is slim and very light; honestly you can hardly notice it carrying the case around.
I took the case with me on a trip this past weekend and carried the iPad in the case all day through a Mall, without an issue. It felt like a small briefcase. I loved it. Wasn’t heavy or bulky at all. I’ve added a picture below, as you can tell it is light and looks just like book but a lot lighter. Check out some of the addl photos and I hope it will answer some more questions. If not, feel free to e-mail or message me and I will do my best to answer :-0)

Been looking for a leather case for iPad that allows horizontal and vertical viewing – and this one looks just perfect!
If I want to hold and use the iPad on my hand and flip the front cover to the back, will the magnetic flap holds the front cover in place? Most folio-type cases I’ve seen doesn’t have this feature, so holding the iPad on hand is a bit of an inconvenience because the front cover is just hanging/flapping there and not somehow ‘attached’ to the back cover to prevent it from moving around.
And about the magnetic flap, will it also attach to the back cover? I’ve seen other folio/stand-type cases like this, where when you use it as a stand, the ‘flapping’ closure becomes a bit of an annoyance because it flaps to the front, resting itself on the iPad screen.

Hi Fenida;
let me check out the case and see if I have any issues like you are trying to avoid, I haven’t noticed it, but will double check. I do know for sure that the magnetic strip will not fall onto the screen, that I know, it is long enough to fall behind the screen… Yes if you fold the cover back, the magnetic strip is strong enough to hold it, I’m looking at it right now, and the magnetic strap will hold itself in place no matter where you put it, behind the screen as a stand, or if you flip the cover over to hold it like a book. I will add some pictures to the bottom of the post to show, hope that helps, if you have more questions, feel free to ask and I will do my best to answer 🙂 Thanks for checking out the review.

Oh wow, super fast reply – and with pictures too! You really did an awesome review for this case. Thank you!
What’s your opinion on the thickness / thinness of the case? Does it add quite a bulk to the iPad? Or does it feel more like the original Apple iPad case (that’s very thin and doesn’t add any bulk at all). I’ve seen super thick leather cases that – though looks very nice – pretty much double or even triple the thickness of the iPad itself.
And how about the weight?
CrazyMom says
Actually the weight of the case isn’t bad at all, I will do some weighing tonight after I get off work, so hang tight till this evening if okay, and will take some pic’s of the case to show you how it looks; I don’t think it’s bulky at all and tome it feels comfy; I had a business trip this past weekend adn carried the thing around all day without a problem, it felt like a book… kind of like a kindle case it looked like, looking at other people on the plane’s kindle. But will get back to you later this evening. Thanks for checking 🙂 I’m more than happy to assist.

Added some more pictures.. hope this helps 🙂

Hi Crazymom, I’ve been reading your excellent review with great interest. The folio360 seems to be just the case I want. I’m curious though, is it hard to remove the iPad from the case, and put it back in? I’d like to be flexible in how I’m using my iPad.
Oh, and how nice to read about spätzle und spaghetti eis! I have relatives in Bayern and am visting this weekend! I’ll be having some spätzle for sure!

We love it and it’s so flexible and yet a wonderful protection…..ought soo jealous..enjoy some of the yummy food in Bayern, that’s where I’m from, too….

Thanks for your quick reply, I’m gonna wait for a little bit and hopefully the case will be available in my country soon. Otherwise I’ll order it directly from The Joy Factory. Tschüss!

This looks like a great product. I have a case for my Ipad, but I would definitely consider this one for a replacement. Thanks for your very thorough review.

Hello Melanie,
Thanks a lot for such a great in-depth review. I’m considering the Folio360 against the HEX Code Folio.
From your pictures and others, I’m getting the impression that the outside finish looks a bit like plastified linnen – pardon my poor choice of words. What I mean: it doesn’t have a sleek and classy leather look. This may have to do with the pictures though. So, if possible, I’d love to read your comment on this.
Thanks in anticipation.
Gerrit

Hi Gerrit; hahah I totally understand your question :0) Had to smile a bit… the case does look like leather, it isn’t tho; It is a sleek, and durable material, not sure how to describe it; it is washable and has held up my 3 kids the last year very well; it is stylish and looks professional, but not leather. The HEX Code Folio looks like is a leather case, from pic’s I’ve seen; the Folio360 is a synthetic leather; it isn’t a smooth “material”, it does have some “design” or ridges on the cover, which to me makes it look more stylish; hope that answered your question; if not, please let me know and I’ll see if I can help more…
Gerrit says
Thanks a lot for your clear answer, it sure helps to get a better idea of the product.
Pew, now off to make my choice…

The iPad itself is clipped onto the back which is then attached to the case by a magnet. I think I may return it because if the iPad is knocked it could come of the magnet that joins it to the case. What do you think. Thank you.
Melanie Roberts says
I don’t understand, unless they changed it, my iPad is attached by a hard shell case inside the “case”; it’s not attached by a magnet at all; the only thing that is magnetic is the strap that closes the case… I have had mine for a year maybe close to 2 now and my 4 year old totes it around in her ipad and never had an issue, the ipad is still as protected as ever and the case is holding up well. Hope that helped.
