FlashKids Books {Review & Giveaway}

August 31, 2011 By Melanie Roberts 13 Comments

FlashKids - Tools Parents Trust, Activities Kids Love!

As kids are slowly heading back to school, my tween is ready to start 6th grade. All summer he practiced his Math Skills with the Math for the Gifted Student Grade 6 book or his Reading skills with the Reading for the Gifted Student Grade 6 book. He spend about 30 min to an hr. a day on each book, more if he wanted to, to stay up to date with his school work and not loose too much during the summer.

Sterling Publishing has a wonderful line of Workbooks called Flash Kids, they even have their own website  Flashkids.com.

I love the books!! No matter if you have the Vocabulary, Math, Reading or even the Summer Activities book,  each one reinforces what your child has learned in the previous grade and also introduces concepts that will be taught in the next grade. Perfect for keeping your child up to speed or giving them that little extra at home to catch up.

Each book comes with over 190 pages jam packed full of reading or math problems and the answer. The questions are age appropriate and will reinforce anything that your child already knows throughout the summer.

We had a blast with this FlashKids Series and my son is now ready to start 6th grade and not miss a beat.

FlashKids has a wonderful line of products from Preschool through 6th grade from Math to reading and anything in-between. We’ve trusted these books for many many years with my Tween, now the Teen and even the Toddler is now involved with the Preschool books.

We have a set of the Summer Skills Flash Cards in the car and anytime we are on a longer road trip or have to wait for an appointment my Tween pulls them out and wants me to ask him the questions. He is having a blast, learning while he is having fun. The flash cards are actually super cool. They are sturdy cardboard and double sided. One side has a reading problem and the other side has a math problem. There are 90 cards with endless of fun and quizzing and game play.

WHERE TO BUY:
You can buy any of the FlashKids products on Amazon.com, Barnes and Nobles or any of your favorite retailer. These books are fairly reasonable priced starting under $4 and go to about $10.00 not bad for some really good learning books.

MORE INFORMATION:
Be sure to check out FlashKids for some parent guides, free printable and an overview of what your child should know and will learn in the next school year. You can also follow Flashkids on Facebook or Twitter to stay up to date.

We are ready for 6th grade after all our practice with the FlashKids products, are you? I have one set of the Summer Skills  Flash Cards to giveaway to one 2Boys+1Girl=OneCrazyMom reader, be sure to enter our Giveaway below.

We received the products for our honest review, all opinions are 100% our own and no other compensation was nor will be received. The winner will receive the Summer Skills Flash Card set directly from Sterling Publishing; Facebook is not associated with this Giveaway and hereby released from any liability.

    I think it is wonderful to teach in a way that is fun and gets the child ahead for skills he will have to build on and improve. I love it for any of my little relatives. Rita Spratlen

    My son is a 4th grader in the gifted and talented. That means that the math he will be doing this year will be straight from the 5th grade curriculum. I think winning these flashcards would really help to keep him sharp.
