Plan your meals around your grocery store’s flyer. Instead of just planning your meals based on a cookbook or whatever you can dream up, plan all your meals around what’s on sale in your grocery store’s flyer. Look at the biggest sales, then plan meals based on those ingredients and what you have on hand, and you’ll find yourself with a much smaller food bill than you’re used to.

Sunday night I sat down and made a menu plan for 4 weeks ( for the first time), based on ingredients I lready have on hand and grocery store sales. I usually plan a day or two ahead on what to cook, but never done a full week worth of planning meals :).
I’m excited to try it out and see if this will reduce some stress for me. 🙂
My husband and kids are liking the menu idea, they can look at the menu I posted on the fridge to see whats for dinner every night of the week….

It really worked well in our house, I used to do 4 weeks at a time and it was GREAT..then we went to a week at a time and now we are totally out since Christmas and it;’s driving me crazy not knowing what to cook each night.. so we will be back to the plan here in a few weeks…. REALLY REALLY helps a lot with planning and your budget as well!! Let me know how it goes
