Welcome to Megan from Publix Coupon Queen…..
One of the first questions a new couponer always asks me is: "Where do you get all of the coupons you use?"
I am going to take a moment and answer that. I am also going to explain a few things I think you should know as you start collecting coupons. Many people think of getting coupons as whatever is in the Sunday paper that week. If I don’t see a deal I throw it away. Here’s the problem with that thought. They don’t expire for up to 3 months. What if it goes on sale later? Without further ado, Where do I get all those coupons?
Sunday Paper –
I do get my coupons from the Sunday paper. I have a deal with a local paper for a discounted home delivery on my papers. Once I pull out the coupon inserts (the things that say Smart Source and Red Plum) I put the date on the front and file them in the system pictured here. This is a great way to organize for me because I don’t clip coupons until I need them.

There are many ways to get a deal on your Sunday paper. One of these is the Orlando Sentinel deal I mentioned here.

I can hear the question now: "How many papers should I get?" My answer: When you see a deal how many of the item on sale will you need to stockpile for your family for a 13 week period? (the amount of time until it’s most likely to go on sale again.

I highly recommend buying subscriptions in increments of 2. When you have a Buy One Get One Sale you will want 2 coupons.
-
You can also get your papers at Walgreens or CVS. Look in the ad at the items that say free after Register Reward or Extra Care Buck depending on the store. Buy it if it equals to the cost of your papers. Use you Register Reward or Extra Care Buck to pay for the papers. If you are spending the money anyway you might as well get something free in the process.
-
Another option is to ask friends or neighbors. For those lucky to have friends/neighbors who don’t coupon you may be able to get their coupons.
Print Them
Please do me a favor and don’t go printer crazy! You do not need to print every coupon out there. You will waste time, paper, and ink. If it is an item you know you will need print it. If not wait until you see it in a coupon matchup.

Coupons.com is a great place to find lots of amazing coupons
Create A Coupon Facebook
You don’t have to like Facebook but Facebook is a great way to get some high value coupons. Create an account for coupon related items and ignore it until you need it.
Write Companies
There are companies that will send you coupons for your feedback. If it’s an item you don’t see coupons for write the company and tell them you are sad you don’t see coupons. Sometimes they will send high value coupons and occasionally you will see free coupons.
