Years ago my best friend gave me a stuffed bunny for Christmas. That was origin of many things-including my blog name. It also started one of my favorite vacation traditions: my photo buddy!
My little stuffed bunny has traveled the world with me. Stuck in a back pack or a beach bag, she’s pretty much gone everywhere I have since she arrived. (What can I say? She’s a well traveled bunny!)
The really fun part of all of this? Getting her picture somewhere fun in every location. OK, yes, you might get a strange look or two taking a photo of a stuffed animal in the middle of Times Square. But a strange look or two are totally worth it just for the fun and the giggles later.
If you want to take a photo buddy on your next vacation don’t think it has to be a stuffed animal. It could be anything. An action figure, a doll…even a rock. It just has to be something that you can safely take along on your travels. (Think small, light weight and able to clear customs…)
Now it’s really time for the fun. Start thinking of the silly places you can take pictures with your photo buddy. Make it a family challenge. Maybe each family member has their own photo buddy. The only limit is your imagination!

We use a rubber chicken. Yes, a few chuckles from those passing by, but he’s been literally around the road since we share it with friends. We keep talking about replacing it with a new one since he’s starting to fall apart, but no one has the heart to.
