Is your Computer Data backed up? Check out Seagate Backup Plus for peace of mind

If you are a HUGE photo take like I’m, then you know how scary it can be to loose the first ultrasound pictures of your precious bundle of joy; the first steps , first food and even first prom dates. In this day and age we have a camera almost every where we go, on our cell phone and friends take pictures of us and post them to Facebook. I love to document our family life in pictures, what better way then to hold on to those memories. On our recent trip to Germany I took over 7000 (!! YES!!) pictures of family, friends and my home town; after all, who knows when I will be back next and we want to keep the memories going as long as we can.

Woman Pulling Hair out

Memories and pictures are a powerful thing, BUT what happens if in the blink of an eye all goes away?? Ever had a lightning hit your PC? Power surge? What about the PC decided “I’m done” and won’t start? What happens to all those precious memories that are stuck inside the pc and almost untouchable to us and very hard to recover?

I worry about my pictures, documents and anything else that I keep on my PC on a daily basis. Our life nowadays revolves around electronics it’s almost too easy to forget that we need to keep our data backed up and safe. Let’s be honest, when was the last time you backed up your pictures? I had an external hard drive but once that filled up I ‘m ashamed to say that I haven’t backed up anything on my PC in over a year maybe even longer. NOT A GOOD THING, I know. So I decided to find  solution that was both affordable and effective.

I thought about USB sticks, but they are WAYYYY too small to hold an entire photo album, yet alone any of the documents, programs and data that I have on the PC, I thought about another external hard drive, but then I would have to find space to put it, find yet another outlet to plug it in, running yet again risk of another product being hit by lightning. So many things I didn’t want, I set off to goggle to find the best option for me. I came across a company called Seagate. I did a little research and knew this had to be the answer to my solution, so I wanted to tell all of my amazing readers about this product as well, so grab your coffee and sit down and find out what Seagate was all about.

Seagate has a number of amazing products to offer from Internal Hard drives, external hard drives to Home Entertainment media. I spend a few hours on their website to see which product would suite me and my family best and I decided that the Backup Plus would be the best choice.

The Backup Plus comes in a few different color option, which are super cool, but not a must for me, but in anyway a nice addition. However what I was very impressed with was the size. The backup Plus is very handy and can sit in the palm of my hand, only 14.5mm long and weight must be a few ounces, it’s super light and fits in my purse like a checkbook; YES.. you can take it with you anywhere you go!

Another feature that I LOVE is no additional power source needed; you just plug the USB cord into your PC and you are in business; that’s how simple setup and operation is. from here it’s like any other USB drive, External hard drive, just plug and play…follow instructions and you are ready to back up your priceless processions in no time; NO more worries “What if”?

You can also back up your Facebook pictures and other social media sites onto this Backup Plus and never ever loose a thing. You can move the Backup Plus between your office PC, your laptop or even your Mac, no problem at all. It works a charm on any PC, anytime, anywhere!!

Backing up your data has never been easier and this if for sure an amazing “little” powerhouse that I can’t live without. I have been backing up all my info and with a 1T drive space, you have a long time before it gets full….!!

There are no discs to be installed, no programs that need to run, just plug in your Backup Plus and use it to back up anything and everything; BUT if you want, there is a program already pre-loaded to the drive and you can install it to any PC that you have and it will help you back up your data in an easy way… So fool proof even my 4 year old can do it.

We LOVE the Seagate Backup Plus system and truly think this is the best invention since sliced bread. Everyone should have on of their own and never ever have to worry about your pictures, your data and documents. With the Backup Plus you can rest assured that everything is safe 24/h of the day.

Such an important reminder- I need to back my data up tonight! After we had a computer crash a few years ago, we invested in an external harddrive for peace of mind. Best decision!

Yup, backing everything up is on the to-do list. At least most of my pictures are loaded on a photo website, so not all is lost. This may be going on my Christmas list though!
