Family Fun with #SpiderManWMT and the iPad ~Dinner and a Movie with extra Entertainment at Walmart #Cbias

Are you as excited about the Amazing Spider-Man release as we are? Let me tell you, we had a blast at Walmart the other day locating all the cool trigger points for the Augment Reality App that was just released in time for the Amazing Spider-Man DVD release.

We had a few minutes to spare before I dropped the boys off at Soccer practice and I so I loaded the Augmented Realty App Web Slinger onto the iPad and off to Walmart we went. We have been telling you about previous Augmented Realty Apps and they have been a BIG Hit with my teens, so I was super excited to see what this Spider-Man Reality App could do.

I loved the idea that you can star in your very own comic strip; in order to unlock the extra comic strip pages you have to find 3 trigger points (posters) at Walmart. This was actually fairly simple, we found the posters in the Entertainment and Toy section and within a few minutes had all our Comic pages unlocked.

Once we had our comic story ready to go, we found a bunch of other cool Spider-Man toys, books and even Peanut Butter with Spider-Man’s face on it. I had no idea how many Spider-Man articles Walmart had all over the place. Pretty cool and a lot of ideas for Christmas.

We needed to grab some dinner, since the kids will be at practice till 8pm, I decided to pick up some market pizzas and they also where a trigger point in the Augmented Reality App, we grabbed them for some extra fun at home while watching the movie and enjoying a Pizza and a salad.

Of course the boys wanted to play with the Augmented Reality App while at Walmart to make sure they wouldn’t miss out on any of the fun while they are at soccer practice, so we spend another 10 minutes battling the “bad” guys, in the middle of Walmart and a ton of people thought we lost our mind. That’s the fun part, when you have your iPhone or iPad (or Android Smartphone) and play in the store, only you can see the creatures come to life and people around you think you lost your mind.

I attracted security again, as usual. This time they remembered me from another App I was playing with and they already knew that I was up to no good and pulled out their phones right away to check out what I was into this time. Just gotta love our Walmart Security Crew. Will they ever learn and maybe find these Apps before I will? Naaaaa… it’s too much fun to track me down along with the App triggers.  

See, this is what we saw at Walmart on top of our pizza box..isn’t it super cool? You can totally interact with the App and fight and make the characters move around like they are in a 3D attraction. Super cool. Have I told you that I love those Augmented Reality Apps? They are just the coolest and so much fun for the entire family to enjoy.

After our playtime at Walmart was over, I dropped the kids off real quick at the soccer field and I headed home to make the Pizzas and Salad in time for a late dinner. It all worked out in time and the boys, hubby and I could enjoy our Pizza and Salad while watching the brand new The Amazing Spider-Man movie.
