I have two passions, I love to make things from scratch and I love good chocolate. When I saw the Make your own Chocolate Kit from Glee Gum saw, I knew I had to check it out; it had both of my favorite things.
I had never made chocolate from scratch and I can’t believe how easy it was. the Chocolate Kit had everything I needed to get the ball rolling.
Instructions were simple….Melt…Combine…Heat…Cool…Get Creative…Temper….EAT! Can’t get any simpler than that. The package includes really everything you need, even a temperature indicator.
All you have to do is melt the cocoa butter, then add the cocoa powder and sugar. Stir, stir, stir until it cools to the right temperature; add the starter crystals so that the chocolate “tempers”, and congratulate yourself! They even included a few cacao beans for you to taste while you make your chocolate; how super cool is that.
The entire kit will make 8oz. of dark delicious chocolate. What are you waiting for? These kits would be fun for the entire family and would go well as a stocking stuffer, too.
