Merci German Chocolate

As most of you know,  I grew up in Germany and and that also means I had my share of amazing chocolate. I have yet to find chocolate here in the US that can compare to my high standard of creaminess, smoothness and amazing taste. If you ever have German, I mean, real German chocolate you will know what I’m talking about.

This morning I received a box in the mail and though I knew it would be coming, I had totally forgotten about the box of merci Finest European Chocolate and when I opened the box…… my heart melted and my very first thought was “Oma” (grandma). My Oma would bring me a box of merci every year for my Birthday and since my Birthday is just a few short weeks away, that was my first thought.

I went down memory lane for some time, remembering my grandma and my family; the wonderful merci chocolate that I always got, always looked surprised, but of course we kind of expected the box each year and how I missed that box of chocolate since I left home. It’s the little things that bring back memories and for me it’s a box of chocolate.

Not any box, no it has to be merci the Finest European Chocolate made in Germany by the Storck Family; there are 7 amazing flavors in the box, but my favorite still to this day is the hazelnut-Crème and the hazelnut-Almond; yet all the 7 flavors, which includes Milk Chocolate, Coffee and Cream, Dark Cream, Dark Mouse and Praline Crème are amazing, I’m always drawn to the Hazelnut ones; always have and always will.

The fun part, you don’t have to eat the entire box at one time; each flavors are individually wrapped making it easy to share with family and friends or just eat one at a time.

I’m beyond ecstatic that merci has entered the US market and I can’t tell you how excited I’m to share a little bit of home with all of you. I want to say “merci” to all of my readers and yet, it isn’t a HUGE $100 giveaway or an amazing vacuum cleaner, it is a bit from my heart to my readers and I’m excited to share.
