Making pest control smarter with RESCUE! and enjoy your outdoor space all summer long

Living in Florida has it’s up’s and down’s. Yes, we do have long summers, amazing falls and mild winters. We never see snow, but we do have our down’s. We have BUGS… all year long. If it’s not one thing it’s another. We recently remodeled our deck so we maybe can spend some time outside enjoying the sun a bit more. The only thing that has kept us inside most of the time in previous years … WASPs! Yes, we have tons of Wasp nest and for some reason they love to build their nests underneath my railing, behind the deck doors and in the kids toys. I hate to go outside looking for wasps or other insects before I can enjoy the deck.

Most of the time we overlook a nest and the wasps or bees keep buzzing around us, even hornets until we grab everything and come back inside. This summer, since we created this amazing outdoor space, I knew something had to change, I can’t spend hours looking for nests just to enjoy our deck for a few minutes.

I found something really cool in search of how to keep Wasps, hornets and anything else that would “bug” me off the deck. It’s called “Rescue W*H*Y”. Totally new concept to me and I liked the idea that it will  catch Wasps, Hornets & Yellowjackets.

The RESCUE! WHY trap for Wasps, Hornets & Yellowjackets from Sterling International is ideally suited to entice and trap these queens and their offspring. What lures the wasps, hornets and yellowjackets is a specially formulated attractant.

The trap is reusable, so season after season refill with the specially formulated attractant and catch the Wasps, Hornets and Yellowjackets before they get you. The best time is in early spring to catch the queen early, but I just put mine out and already caught a few; it’s never too late.

“Using a three-pronged approach of attraction – two liquid forms and one gel- the RESCUE! WHY Trap lures only wasps, hornets and yellowjackets. The trap will not lure in beneficial pollinators such as honeybees, as Dr. Qing-He Zhang, Sterling International’s lead scientist and director of research ensures.

Follow directions on the instruction sheet and you will have your RESCUE WHY trap up in no time catching the BUGS that could catch your family with nasty stings and maybe even allergic reactions. Each queen caught prevents one nest of potentially hundreds or more dangerous insects from being built later on. Plus it will keep your yard safe for kids and animals to walk around.

So far I’m really impressed with the concept and the idea and can’t wait to keep it up and see how many we can catch before they do harm to us. The only thing, I wish they had this for mosquitos. Mhhh.. that would be beyond awesome. But non the less, I really like the product, and isn’t an eye source in the yard, takes care of things without you even knowing. LOVE it.

We need this!!! I always send hubby out on a mission to find wasps nests, but they always creep on back. I hate when they are around the pool!

We need to give this a try. Mud wasps have decides that not only should they set up camp on our porches, but somehow got into our garage. What a mess! We got it cleaned up, but I know that the summer isn’t even half over yet. We also have a big mosquito problem. They are spraying for West Nile because some people have already gotten sick. Such a bummer. Being proactive with traps like you have helps a lot.

Oh that sounds like a really awesome must have product! This is the first I’ve heard of it, but we sure do have our share of unwanted pests here in Rhode Island too!

I need this! I’m not sure at this point if my grandson would be like his dad and allergic to any bees, wasp, hornets, etc and don’t want to take the chance. I know that even if a mosquito bites him, he swells real bad. With his dad, it could kill him and he’d have to be rushed to E.R. since I don’t believe he carries any of the meds they are suppose to carry. Thanks for this great review of a product that sounds awesome.

My fiance really hates wasps so I think he’d gleefully install this, haha! I hate it when the bugs come out in the summertime, and I live in Oregon where it’s pretty mild-mannered. I can’t imagine Florida!

We have a ton of bugs, too, here in GA. Bugs are no fun, that’s for sure. I’d love to try this in our yard too to see if it makes a difference.

I need a few of these bee catchers too! I live in California, the bugs are too bad but we have a honeysuckle bush that attracts the bees all year long. My husband is allergic to bees so we try to avoid them if all possible.

Wasps can find places you’d never think of to build their nests in. I’ve not seen this product before. I hope it works for you.
