Laminate your Menu Plan and #Recipes in style with Fellowes Saturn2 #Review

It’s almost time to get back to school this year and organizing in style is all the rave in our home. I’ve been dreaming of owning a Laminator for ages, but so far I just kept using those self laminating sticky sheets that constantly messed up with bubbles all over the place; but they were cheap and I thought would do the job just fine…. WELL… I was totally wrong, after giving the Fellowes Saturn2 95 Laminator a try.

Let me tell you my 5 reasons WHY I love this Fellowes Heat Laminator and WHY you need one in your home, too.

Why we love our Laminator

1. Use on EVERYTHING! You heard me right you can laminate everything from Adventure park tickets to pictures, newspaper articles and everything in-between.

2.  Uses around the home:  You can laminate your recipe cards, kids pictures, report cards, kids drawings or a Meal Plan list like I did, chore chart and many, really many more things… if it’s on a piece of paper or cardstock you can laminate it. One caution though, do NOT laminate your Ultrasound pictures, I know it sounds amazing and tempting to preserve these memories forever, but the heat will turn the entire picture black and you will loose those precious memories… other then that your imagination is your limit.

3. Use for school work: anything and everything in your kids classroom from name tags to flash cards, all can be laminated and the teacher will LOVE it. We use flash cards that we laminated for my princess to learn how to write and read her sight words, once we are done, we wipe it clean for next time. Simple, time and money savings… LOVE it!!

4. Create keepsakes like scrapbook pages, laminate them to keep them beautiful forever; some Laminators even come in 12×12 size and will keep your creative work stunning for years to come and you don’t have to hide it from sticky fingers anymore either…..

5. Simple and cost effective; I love how simple it was to use the Fellowes Laminator, took a minute to heat up and a minute to run each page through, voila.. done and everything is preserved and no worries if water spills. The cost is very effective, too. The laminating sheets come in different size packages for letter size or even 4×6, for photos or index cards.

I decided to work on my Menu Plan Center in the kitchen and the Laminator came in handy; I printed some super cool Menu Planners from a google search and then laminated each sheet; it took no time at all and now I have a reusable Menu Planner that we can wipe clean with a wet rag every week and post our new Menu plan over and over. It was that simple.

Once I had my Menu Plan up and going I decided to print some of our favorite recipes and create recipe cards as well; these turned out amazing. I used my favorite recipes from the blog and pinterest to print a color picture along with the recipe; laminated it all and now it’s ready to be used when we cook. No worries that the recipe gets dirty or splatters all over, we can wipe it down and the recipe will look amazing years from now. I can even hand them down to the kids once they move out and create a little “Recipe binder with dishes from home” if I wanted to.

The Fellows Laminating pouches are super simple to use and once you pre-heat the machine, a sound will alarm you that the machine is ready to Laminate; put your picture, recipe card or whatever else you are laminating into the pouch and stick inside the Laminator; it will pull itself through and comes out looking amazing, sturdy and preserved forever.

Now isn’t that cool? I’m totally addicted and everything in my house that is able to be laminated has been laminated… I’m almost running through withdrawals, since I can’t find anything else to laminate at the moment, but I know it’s just a matter of time and something like another report card or School ID will come along and I’d be a happy Laminator mom again.

Super cool product, let me tell you a bit about the Fellows Saturn2 95 Laminator and then you will see that this is a MUST have product in your home, too.

What an awesome idea! This would be great since my preschooler likes to help me in the kitchen and I’m always worried about where he sets recipes. A laminater would make things easier for us!

We have a small one but nothing for large items like this. I would love this one to preserve so many things. The one we have is great for laminating things like your social security card, etc. but…that is about it. This is nice!
