Dish up a Simple dinner in no time with #kraftrecipemakers we made a delicious Taco Salad #Shop

I love easy meal ideas and can’t say it often, simple can be cheap, healthy and delicious and still take only a few minutes to make. I took the kids to soccer practice the other night and couldn’t figure out what to cook for dinner.

I knew we would get home super late and I saw the only option running through a Drive thru for dinner. Luckily for me, our Walmart isn’t far from the Soccer fields and while the older boys coached soccer I took the princess and ran to Walmart to see what I could find that would fit my budget, my time schedule and our taste buds.

Walking through the aisles, I came across a box of Kraft Recipe Makers; I had seen these before and kind of eyed them few weeks back; but had not had a chance to try them yet. A quick glance at my phone to see what recipes they had and I was sold. My Walmart had 6 flavors of the 9 available; I picked the Tex Mex Chicken Fajita flavor. My family loves Tex Mex so this seemed like the perfect option, especially since I could switch the chicken out for beef. My teen is allergic to chicken, so we would give beef a try and see how it would work.

I quickly grabbed a box and decided Taco salad would be quick and simple and something everyone could eat. Yup… there you have it, I decided on dinner in 5 minutes while walking through Walmart. I quickly grabbed the items that I didn’t had at home and ran home to start our dinner before the boys had to be picked up at Soccer.

Countdown started, I had 30 minutes to get home, get dinner ready and pick up the boys. So check out how simple it was to create a delicious dinner with #kraftrecipemakers; I will be using more of the flavors from now on for a quick dinner.

This is what you need for a simple Taco Salad

  • 1 Box Recipe Makers Tex-Mex Chicken Fajita
  • 1 pack of Taco Shells – bake in oven for shells
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can black beans
  • 1 can corn
  • cheese
  • lettuce
  • cilantro
  • Avocado

This is how to make your simple Taco Salad

So simple to make an easy meal with #kraftrecipemakers #Shop

  1. brown your meat
  2. add 1/2 bottle of the cooking sauce from your Kraft Recipe Maker package
  3. once meat is all cooked, add black beans and corn and the remaining cooking sauce, mix well and let simmer for about 5minutes
  4. add a few drops of the salsa pack from your Kraft Recipe Maker kit and stir; set aside
  5. cut all the veggies and assemble your Taco Salad

Voila… There you have it, dinner on the table in under 30 minutes and it’ was delicious and healthy, my entire family loved it. The Kraft Recipe Maker kit had the perfect balance of spice and flavor and I didn’t have to worry about adding too much or too little flavor, it was just perfect. The fresh veggies just gave it an overall fresh taste. I can honestly say I was pleased with my quick dinner decision and will grab a few boxes to keep on hand. The next quick dinner night will come around soon enough and this time, I will be prepared and ready to cook dinner to fill up all those empty tummies.

So, have you checked out the new Kraft Recipe Makers? Which one did you like best and did you experiment with any recipes? Would LOVE to hear about it, you can always share with us on Facebook as well.

Yummy! I have not seen Kraft Recipe Makers in the stores but I will have to keep an eye open for them. These would be great to have on hand for quick dinners when my kids are all running off to their various activities. Did you use a mold to make your taco bowls?
