Crazy Mom with Crazy kids sure can share some darndest kids stories, how about you? This is #Motherfunny

Crazy Mom with Crazy kids sure can share some darnest kids stories, how about you? This is #Motherfunny #shop

I had an entire day just for myself the other day and what better way to spend the “me” day doing a little online shopping and reading up on my favorite blogs. While I strolled websites, relaxing, enjoying my coffee and some cookies, I came across a funny, super funny website  nickmom.com, they had a section that was “Kids Say… of the Day”. I spend a good 2 hours reading the darndest things kids say and I laughed, I cried, I chuckled and yes… I rolled on the floor. I had the best time and finally realized that “MY” Family is totally normal.

Crazy Mom with Crazy kids sure can share some darnest kids stories, how about you? This is #Motherfunny #shop (The best smile for the Easter pictures )

I quickly remembered a few of the darndest things my kids said and I couldn’t wait to share with all of you. I hope this will make your day today and if you are like me you will be rolling on the floor before you know it.

Here is my “Kids say the darndest thing” edition and I promise you will get a chuckle, a smile or even a floor rolling out of it, too.

My Teen#2 said the darndest thing

I was 5 months pregnant and all of us were at the Dr. office to find out if we were having a boy or girl; the boys 8 & 12 at the time. During the ultrasound my 8 year old had his fingers crossed tightly behind his back and whispered “Please let it be a boy… Please let it be a boy”. The Dr. couldn’t help but notice his whispering and after a few minutes of suspense announced “It’s a Girl”…. My 8 year old quickly replied to the Dr. “Are you kidding….? Well, I guess we can donate her and try again”….. YUP, he had the Dr. and everyone else rolling on the floor and to this day, we laugh about it.

My Teen isn’t 8 anymore, he is actually 14 now and still cracks me up with the crazy things that he comes up with.

  • Remember Mom, back in the day when you were younger, like in your 40’s…. ~ FYI … I’m just mid 30’s…LOL….
  • Mom, did they have cars when you grew up? I’m just saying, because they aren’t that old yet; ~ Yeah he is still trying to talk himself out of that one and for some reason he keeps going back to my age thing… Funny… But HELLO…

Crazy Mom with Crazy kids sure can share some darnest kids stories, how about you? This is #Motherfunny #shop(Yes… this is for kids only…. You sure can see “MY” kids…)

My Kindergartner said the darndest thing

My Princess is 5, going on 25 and she always has me laughing; let me share some funnies with you that will put a smile on your face as well.

  • “Mom, take tons of pictures of me and put them on “SpaceBook”; she calls Facebook Spacebook and is obsessed with posting videos and pictures… wonder where she got that from?
  • “Mom, I can’t eat the Broccoli, it will grow a tree in my tummy and I’m not big enough for it to grow THAT big, so please don’t make me eat it”
  • “Mom, when you were my age, why didn’t your mom give you an iPad so you could watch SpyKids and learn all the tricks?”
  • “Mom, Bubba is bigger than you, why isn’t he working and you go to school?”
  • “Mom, did you have to learn Math back in your day, too?”
  • “Mom, my teacher said to create 5 word cards for my sight words; she really thinks I have all day to do my homework, this will take me forever!”

Well, my princess is quite the gem, she comes up with stuff all the time and I have to try to write it all down so I can share it with her one day.

Crazy Mom with Crazy kids sure can share some darnest kids stories, how about you? This is #Motherfunny #shop(Don’t let the picture deceive you… he still tries to donate her)

Now, I have to share a few funnies with you about my Teen; we all know Teens know it all; right? I keep telling him to write it down because once he loses all his knowledge; he would at least have something to fall back to… LOL… that’s my funny…ha-ha. Yes… I can say the darndest thing, too.

My Teen said the darndest thing:

  • Mom, it is 11PM I think it’s best if you go to bed now because you have to wake me up at 6AM tomorrow!
  • Mom, the F’s on my report card aren’t really F’s…. (Still trying to figure that out myself)
  • Mom, the worst day ever, our internet connection was out all day and we had to use pen and paper to write ALL our assignments, can you believe it!!
  • Mom, don’t take my phone away that will be the death of me!!

I’m sure you can relate to some of these yourself, I chuckle every time I hear my Teen talk about a crisis and think “boy, back in the day I must have been, bored, dead and foolish”, but I also love to remember these things for when my teen has his own kids and remind them how hard his dad had it, after all US Mom & Dad’s did walk 5 miles through the snow up a hill one way to school each day!

Crazy Mom with Crazy kids sure can share some darnest kids stories, how about you? This is #Motherfunny #shop(The smallest Schnitzel ever… YES… of course he can eat it all!)

It’s your time… Spill it… Let me hear best, cute and funny story that of course the kids say with such a straight face that will have mom turn around and laugh before answering. I need another laugh, so go ahead and leave me a comment.

My kids said the darndest thing….

I think it was Art Linkletter who first had the show. Kids Say The Darndest Things. Then Bill Cosby had one many, many years later. It is so true. Kids can crack you up with what comes out of their mouth.

My oldest son made the mistake of saying that one day, then he got stuck being the only one home one day when I was sick and he had to take care of his siblings. I honestly think that was the best thing that could have ever happened to us, when I heard his friends (all older teenagers) talking about sex, my son was the only one that said – take care of my brother for a day and you would never want it, lol.

Hahahaha! Those are too funny. Lately my six year old keeps asking me what things were like “way back in the 90’s”. LOL. The other day he asked me if we had automatic opening doors at the supermarket way back in the 90’s. Ugh!

I always intended to write down the things my girls said and never got around to doing it. As for the age at least my little one thinks I am 25 (I am in my 3o’s) and she told her 1st grade teacher that I am 25.

The story about your son wanting a boy as a baby is so funny. Kids do say the funniest things, and your kids and the stuff they say is so funny. I could not help but keep laughing. I wish I could remember some of the stuff my son said. I will have to try to remember what he said.

Kids really say it like they see it! I was a 3rd grade teacher and I heard my kids say so many things that their parents would turn bright red about!
Even my own daughters would say the funniest things. Like when my daughter was 3 in preschool, they asked what does mommy do and she said Mommy helps sister with homework and does Daddy’s work too, meaning my husband doesn’t do anything around the house, and she was RIGHT! LOL

I knew I was in trouble when my then 12-year-old son and I were playfully arguing a bout a random subject when grinned in an evil manner and said ” Watch it lady, you know I am the one who is going to chose your nursing home.” He is now 16 and the one liners keep coming. Kids do say the most hilarious things, gotta love them.
