Simple and delicious snack idea with Swiss Cheese & Ham Puffs #Recipe #LifeIngredients

I love cheese and could make it the main entry in every meal. Cheese for me has always been a big part. Growing up in Germany, we didn’t have much money and meat wasn’t always in the budget, but cheese was. We had lots of dishes that included cheese and who doesn’t like cheese, besides my teenager? My oldest just doesn’t like cheese, but for me it’s a #LifeIngredients and I always try to create fun recipes to make him get some extra goodness into this ever growing boy.

Recently I discovered Alpine Lace® Reduced Fat Deli Cheese at my local Walmart, they have it in the Deli section to be freshly sliced as well as in the prepackaged cheese section near the Deli. I always buy the Alpine Lace® Deli Swiss Cheese reduced fat an no one knows the difference. All the goodness of regular cheese with half the fat. I love it.

Did you know that most varieties of Alpine Lace® Deli Cheese are reduced fat, perfect for snacking on the go or adding delicious flavor to your favorite sandwich. Its great taste comes from high-quality ingredients, and it provides a good source of protein and calcium.

When I picked up my cheese the other day I knew exactly what I wanted to dish up for the kids and decided to share it with you as well. You know I love to share a good and simple recipe. I bet you will love the Swiss Cheese and Ham puffs as much as we did.

This is what you need for the Swiss Cheese & Ham Puffs

  • 1 package of your favorite ham
  • 1 package Puff Pastry
  • Your favorite flavor of cream cheese
  • 1/4 pound of Alpine Lace® Reduced Fat Swiss Cheese (from the deli or in the prepackaged section)

This is how to make the Swiss Cheese & Ham Puffs

  1. Pre-heat oven to 425F.
  2. Take one sheet of the Puff pastry, thawed and roll out on a baking mat with a little flour
  3. Spread the Cream Cheese onto the rolled out dough
  4. Add your cheese slices
  5. Add your ham
  6. Roll everything into a big roll and cut into slices.
  7. Bake for about 12-15 minutes, till golden brown

Oh my goodness these look so good. I have got to check out this brand. What a clever recipe idea. I love the idea of little bites because they’re perfect for kids and if I behave myself and don’t eat them all, they’re a good little snack for mommy, too!

My family loves anything with ham, cheese and pastry so these would go over really well. I did bookmark this so I can come back to it. I also will look for Alpine cheese at the store when I go this week. I am not really familiar with it but I like to try different products.

Everyone in our house love cheese! Funny because I wasn’t always a big fan of cheese when I was little. This recipe looks easy enough for a quick snack. Thanks for sharing it!

Alpine Lace has a nice clean cut and pure flavor that I like. We haven’t had any for awhile though, I guess it’s time to rectify that. 🙂
