When I became a mom almost two decades ago, gosh… am I really that old? Hard to believe that I have been a mom for that long and scary but true I think I should think about a variable annuity or how much life insurance do I need. No idea why, but that just popped in my head when I realized how long I have been a mom and how quickly years are flying by.

When I was a teen, growing up and moving out seemed the best thing ever, I wanted to be on my own, never ever listen to what mom and dad had to say, be on my own, make my own rules and be my own boss, eat pizza at midnight and ice-cream for breakfast. That was the dream, thinking about my life insurance let alone my future kids wasn’t part of my plan at all. I’m sure it wasn’t of yours either. All we wanted was to be grown up and have fun, right?

Well… where did that time go? I’m, freaking out, because now my Teen is heading down that road where he wants to be free, make his own rules and eat his pizza at midnight and his ice-cream at 6am. NOOO! This has to stop! I’m not getting older! I’m not going to be a grandma before I even got to live my life! Wait, did I sleep and miss everything?

Time just passed right by and before I knew it, I woke up with 3 munchkins that are now my everything, long gone are the times that are all about me, my wants, my needs now all I worry about are my three little ones (or well.. if you can call a Teenager in college little… after all, they are mine, they robbed me of my dreams, I can call them whatever I want, that’s the least I can do, right?… LOL), what if something should happen to me on the way to work? What if my Lupus would break out and be out of control? What if’s are a lot these days and always on my mind.

I want to make sure that my kids will have everything they need in case something unforeseen will happen, no matter when, what and where, I want to make sure #IAmProtective.
