Make your own #DIY Chocolate Spoons for the Christmas Holidays #Recipe

We love Christmas traditions and one that we are most fond of is the Countdown to Christmas. We have our elf visit each year between Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve and she does a lot of silly and mischievous things around the house and the kids love keeping track of her.  We also love communicating with Santa and his Elves as much as we can and this year we are super excited, Hallmark has released a lot of different, cool and fun products to help your little ones sweeten the time to Christmas.

Have you seen the #Northpole movie on the Hallmark channel? If you missed it you can always pick up at copy on Amazon.com or Walmart. It was such a fun movie about Elf Clementine and her friend down South, both tried to save the Christmas spirit and a lot of communicating between the Northpole and down South was going on. I loved that Hallmark incorporated a lot of fun products that you can pick up at Walmart, local Hallmark stores and even drug stores.

We watched the movie and our Elf arrived with a special invitation to head to Orlando to the Hallmark Northpole communication station. My daughter was super excited, nervous and worried. She would be able to talk to a live elf, at the Northpole. I do have to admit she almost worried herself sick not knowing what to expect. Almost to a point where she didn’t want to go. In the end it was a super fun experience and my daughter called it the BEST day ever!

We got to meet a lot of fun elves at the Northpole, talked to a live elf and played some games. It was AWESOME! I know Hallmark has these Northpole Communication Stations planned for a few more city across the US, be sure to check the listings to make it a point to stop in a City near you. You don’t want to miss the fun and you will also get a picture when you are all done. Trust me, your kids will be impressed and not stop talking about #NorthPole till Christmas and beyond.

Watch this video to get a glimpse into what your child will experience at the Northpole Communication Station. Also, you can look into the magical world of Northpole.

Events, specially delivered by Hallmark, are taking place in five cities in November and December — New York, Kansas City, Orlando, Dallas and Los Angeles. These events will help kids talk directly to Northpole with a larger-than-life control center – Northpole Communication Station. From a giant Northpole city map, kids choose a location to contact, from the Claus home to Santa’s Workshop to Snow Row. Using a Northpole Communicator, kids can connect with Northpole and have real conversations with the elves. You’ll even get a cool snapshot to remember the magical moment.

Event Details:

  • Crown Center, Kansas City, MO – Dec. 05 – Dec.06, 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.; Dec. 07, 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • North East Mall, Dallas, TX – Dec. 12 – Dec. 14, 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
  • Hollywood & Highland, Los Angeles, CA – Dec. 19 – Dec. 21, 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

We had so much fun and my daughter got a big surprise when a good friend gave her, her very own Northpole Communicator, you can purchase yours at Walmart or any drugstore across the nation as well as Hallmark stores.

We are now communicating with the Northpole every night and so far we had the pleasure to talk to Clementine (the elf from the Northpole movie!!), Mrs. Clause and yes… the big guy himself… Santa! It is soo much fun to see my daughter light up every night when we all gather around the table to have a chat with the communicator and hearing who answers on the other end.

I love the Hallmark Northpole collection more and more by the day and think I already bought every single item they have on the market. Super cool and fun to help enjoy the Christmas Season.

I also love to dish up a special treat when we communicate to the elves or watch our Hallmark Northpole movie. I bet your family would love it, too. I made simple Hot Chocolate Spoons. I’ve seen them all over the stores and been dying to try one, little did I know how super easy they are. These Hot Chocolate Spoons would make a wonderful elf gift, little surprise for your munchkins, friends or even neighbors. Check them out below, you will love them, too.

This is how to make your Chocolate Spoons

You need:

  • 1 cup chocolate chips/ candy melt
  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • sprinkles, crushed candy canes or anything else you like
  • plastic spoons

Melt your chocolate in the microwave, I added the oil and turned the microwave on 30 seconds, stirred well and added another 30 seconds and it was done. Take you spoon, dip it in the chocolate, add nuts, sprinkles or candy canes, let cool. I put my spoons on parchment paper and placed them into the freezer for a few minutes… VOILA… all done!
