I’ve always loved Mother’s Day, even when I was a little girl. Mother’s Day was always special in our home. Each year my dad and us kids woke up very early to make breakfast for mom in bed, complete with her very own heart shaped cake and all the things a mom needs to be spoiled. It was always a fun and very memorable time.
I remember thinking when I was little that this is how I want my Mother’s Day to be, too. I kind of looked forward to that breakfast in bed and my very own heart shaped cake. Well… I’ve been a mom for almost 20 years now and I’ve not once received breakfast in bed or my very own heart shaped cake. None the less I’ve loved all my Mother’s days and wouldn’t want to miss any of them. I’m very proud of my kids and love all the fun little Mother’s Day things they come up with each year.
This year I decided to give the kids and my husband a little hint of a few things I think would be fun to get for Mother’s Day and while you are here reading and checking out my post, why not take a few ideas for your very own mom or special lady in your life? Food: You can never go wrong with anything edible. Whether it be cookies, chocolate covered strawberries or a bowl of nuts, edible gifts are always a hit and this mama wouldn’t say no to a 60 Gourmet Lollipops in Assorted Flavors, just saying.

Spa and beauty Gifts: These are the best gift ideas EVER! Every mom loves a little pampering and I’m not lying I think I would take a nice back massage over a heart shaped cake any day, but a massage is just one thing that you can find on Groupon.com, they have many other options like a deal on washing and blowing out the hair.. come on Mom’s always want to look beautiful, let someone do it for them, or a set of essential oils. All great choices in my opinion.

Jewelry: I think every mom loves Jewelry and if it’s affordable it is even nicer. I kind of have my eye on the SO & CO New York Women’s Madison Dress Watches with Swarovski Crystals (OMG.. for under $60!!) or One Pair of 2.00 CTTW Genuine White Topaz Stud Earrings in Sterling Silver from $5.99. I’m telling you the Jewelry section on Groupon is love at first sight for both Mom and your wallet!!

Home Goods: Well… one thing comes to mind Pictures! Every mom loves to get pictures of their little ones, no matter what their age and canvas is a wonderful way to display all the little joys in mom’s life. I also found some Photo wood boards that I think are super cool and would look awesome in mom’s living room!

Magazines: Yes… I know, mom always buys magazine subscriptions for your little league, but let’s be honest is it a magazine that she really likes? Probably not, why not buy her a subscription to a magazine that she enjoys and let’s her sit back and relax for a bit. I know I love grabbing a cup of tea or cocoa and read my magazines in the evenings, it’s so peaceful and quiet and that’s my favorite time of the day

Their Mother’s Day Campaign is pretty cool this year!
