Guess what, guess what…. Guess what! It was beautiful in Central Florida last weekend and the perfect weather to pull out the grill. I know, I know, most of you are snowed in still, but hey… That’s why I love living here in Florida. Come on down and I will grill up a storm for you, too. I love to cook outdoors and with Spring Break and the Summer Holiday weekends around the corner it’s never too early to gather ideas for dinner ideas on the grill, right?
I picked up all my ingredients at Walmart during my weekly shopping trip and while walking down the aisles I found these Jack Link’s Wild Side Sausages Original Flavor and Jack Link’s Wild Side Sausages Jalapeño Flavor, my husband and my son both said these looked amazing and if I could come up with something to include them in dinner. Well… I wouldn’t be supermom if I wouldn’t know how to create a simple dinner with a few wish ingredients and wow the family, right?

I quickly scanned my memory to see what goes with sausage and one thing that came to my mind first was a foil pack. I love cooking in packages and I’ve talked over and over how easy they are so I grabbed a few vegetables that my husband and son enjoy and told them to pick the sausage they liked best. Well, each walked back with a different Jack Link’s Wild Side Sausages flavor, so I ended up not only making one meal, nope… I made a second one to please everyone. It’s really that easy to dish up a simple, flavorful and something everyone will like. Took me no time at all and hardly any cleanup.
Here is how I made the Jack Link’s Wild Side Sausages Jalapeño Flavor Veggie Foil packs, let me know what flavor combinations your family would enjoy, the possibilities are endless.

Wasn’t this easy? Such a great meal that can be done on the grill if you love the outdoor cooking but incase it’s still cold in your neck of the woods, these can be placed in the oven as well. So no worries, you can dish them up next week no matter what the weather is.

Now what would a summer BBQ be without a slaw dog, yup… I knew it wouldn’t be a BBQ, so while hubby watched my Jack Link’s Wild Side Sausages Jalapeño Flavor Veggie foil packs on the grill I quickly chopped up my ingredients for the Coleslaw and in no time I had two amazing meals dished up and really took no time at all.

Let me tell you this Coleslaw recipe is the BEST! It’s an old family secret and I’m hooked on the dressing. It is so easy but amazing! You have to try it. I know my granny would be proud knowing that I’m raving about her “secret” recipe. I know you will keep my secret a secret, right? We used the Jack Link’s Wild Side Sausages Original Flavor for the Slaw Dogs.

As for the Jack Link’s Wild Side Sausages, I’m in love, too. My son asked if we could buy an entire case, he really enjoyed them. My favorite about the sausages they have no fillers, no added MSG, are gluten free and high in protein, have no artificial flavors and are very versatile in recipes or as you can see on it’s own and are made with premium cuts of beef and pork and you can taste the difference. AMAZING bold flavors, you have to taste it to believe it! Currently on rollback at Walmart for $3.48 which we thought was a great deal.

There you have two great meals both for the grill or off the grill, whatever works best for your neck of the woods, but in any event they are easy, fast and delicious that will feed a family of 4 or a crowed in no time.

Would love to hear how you do quick meals at home and maybe share some of your tips and ideas below in the comments. I can’t wait to hear how you like my recipe ideas and please keep my secret Coleslaw recipe a secret between you and me…. Happy Cooking!
