I get a lot if not 99% of my Toiletries and household stuff, as well as medication from the Drug Stores in town; they have with coupons, sales, and their reward programs, the best deals. I know if you look at their adds this week you’ll probly see things that you would say WHAT ? they want $4 for bottle of shampoo, well that’s what you see. What I see is, there is a $1/1 coupon from the paper, there is a $2/1 coupon from the Drugstore and then they currently have an reward for that product you buy one you get back $2 in Store reward money… Well.. if you add all that up, the product is FREE and you get paid a buck to buy it…. Looks a lot better now doesn’t it??? That’s what I thought.
Here is what I will never pay for:
-
Shampoo
-
Toothpaste
-
Toothbrush
-
Listerine / Mouth wash
-
Body Wash both women and men
-
lotion
-
deodorant ( I may pay ip to $.50 but because I’m picky and WANT my deodorant)
-
razors both Men and women
- Kids shampoo
I’m sure I’m missing things, but these items come to mind….
So here is some info on the Drugstores in my area in Florida that I use frequently.
CVS
CVS has a program called “Extra Care Bucks” (ECB). You sign up for their free “reward card” that you scan when you buy items. Every week they have different items on sale. SOME items you receive “Extra Care Bucks” when you buy it. What are Extra Care Bucks (EBC)? It is a printout receipt that you will receive at the register when you buy the product on that sale which is good to use on your next purchase.
Walgreen’s
Walgreens has the same sort of reward program called “Register Rewards”, but you don’t need a store card for it. Same exact concept as CVS, but the reward that prints out, unlike CVS can not be used to purchase the same item again. It can be used, but you will not get the reward on the item like you did before. So that is waisting money. A scenario for Walgreen’s would be
Aussie Shampoo on Sale for $2.99 you get $2 Register rewards and you use $1.00 coupon, you will pay for your first transaction $2 plus tax; then you get your $2 register rewards, youmake a second transaction for Cough Syrup that’s on sale for $2.99 and you get $2 reward; you check out your cough syrup hand over your $1 coupon ( if you have) and the $2 Register reward and pay $0 ( maybe tax) and get back a $2 Register reward, now you can do the same transaction get another Aussie Shampoo, pay with like above and “roll” the transaction back and forth…
I know it’s a bit confusing, BUT it works wonders… if you have any questions at all… E-mail me or message me or leave a comment, I’m more than happy to explain further and make scenarios for you…. if you are local I’ll even take you shopping if you want… 🙂
