Breakfast the simple way #MyGoodLife and sharing a Vanilla Caramel Macchiato Coffeecake #Recipe

As most of you know, I grew up in Germany and us Germans drink coffee and eat cake every chance we get. No matter where you go or who you visit, someone will always bring out a cake and put a coffee cup in front of you. I love my coffee as much as I love my tea and I’m a little sad that I can’t find anyone here in the US that enjoys coffee as much as we do in Germany.

I decided to have my very own “Kaffeklatsch”, that’s what we call a coffee date in Germany, at home in Florida with my family. I headed to Walmart to grab my groceries for the week and picked up a few items to make my Coffeecake, a recipe that I brought back from my grandma on our last visit. Since I also needed coffee and I love NESCAFÉ® TASTER’S CHOICE® Instant Coffee, I thought it would be fun to add the coffee flavor to the cake as well. My Grandma used cocoa in her cake, both are delicious, yet different.

Coffeecakes are also great for Breakfast, if you make on over the weekend it will last you all week and you have a wonderful homemade breakfast that can be paired with a nice hot cup of NESCAFÉ® TASTER’S CHOICE® Instant Coffee and some fruit or whip cream and you can relax for a few minutes before rushing out the door. Breakfast can be that simple! I’m sure you have most if not all the ingredients to make the Vanilla Caramel Macchiato Coffeecake and you can say “Ahhh, #MyGoodLife” every time you grab a piece of the cake and no hustle and bustle trying to get breakfast done.

Didn’t I say it’s a simple cake? It took me no time at all and it won’t you either. The Vanilla Caramel Macchiato Coffeecake #Recipe was very close to what my Grandma’s coffeecake tasted like on our last visit, the only difference she used milk instead of the NESTLÉ® COFFEE-MATE® Liquid Coffee Creamer Classic Vanilla and she used lemon juice in the frosting instead of the NESTLÉ® COFFEE-MATE® Liquid Coffee Creamer Caramel Macchiato. I have to admit, I think mine because of the NESTLÉ® COFFEE-MATE® additions, made the cake a little better, moist and very flavorful. It was delicious!

I have the cake, I have the coffee and now I got my “Kaffeeklatsch” ready for my family to enjoy. It was a blast. We always have Breakfast together on Sunday morning and everyone enjoyed the Coffee cake instead of a toast. The kids couldn’t stop raving about the coffeecake and asked for seconds. It paired beautifully with the NESCAFÉ® TASTER’S CHOICE® Instant Coffee and the best part, I wasn’t stressed out on Sunday’s Breakfast. I was able to make the cake ahead of time and just serve it on Sunday morning and the NESCAFÉ® TASTER’S CHOICE® Instant Coffee  won’t take long at all, giving you lots of extra time to spend with your busy family.

Doesn’t the Vanilla Caramel Macchiato Coffeecake look mouthwatering delicious? The recipe will make one big bundt cake, I divided it into a smaller bundt cakes. The mini bundt cake, for some reason my kids eat more if it’s “mini”, crazy isn’t it? You could also make a square cake or just a round cake, whatever your preference, but trust me, you will love it. Next time I’ll add the NESTLÉ® COFFEE-MATE® Liquid Coffee Creamer Caramel Macchiato into the batter instead of the vanilla, can’t wait to find out how that will taste, but the icing was delicious, so I know the cake will be, too.

There you have a simple Breakfast creation that you can prepare ahead of time and will last you, unless the kids eat it all up, almost all week. BUT … in case those munchkins did eat all your cake and you just don’t have time to make a new one in the middle of the week, no fear, Crazy mom is here. HAHAHA, I found some new Breakfast items while shopping at Walmart for the cake items and these will store in your freezer till needed and only take 4 1/2 minutes to cook. You will have a delicious, hearty Sausage & Egg Scramble that will pair perfect with your instant coffee in the morning.

There you have it a super simple breakfast cake recipe along with an idea for those days you just have nothing to eat for breakfast and still want to save some time. The STOUFFER’S® Morning Classics, 8-9 oz. are affordable and perfect when you are trying to get a good breakfast in before rushing out the door. I like to take these to the office and heat up there when I get in in the morning and since the STOUFFER’S® Morning Classics, 8-9 oz. are so convenient, I can eat them at my desk with my cup of Joe and get my work done, all at the same time. I used 6 mini bundt forms, that’s all I had and the rest I put in the large form; you can use a regular bundt cake form it will be enough to make it full, my large bundt cake form wasn’t all the way full. Hope that helps

In the ingredient list you list 3 teaspoons of coffee and 3 teaspoons of boiling water, but in the recipe you list 3 tablespoons of each. Which should it be? Thanks! Want to take these to work for my bosses birthday!

OOPS… You can do either.. I will change that to 3 teaspoons, BUT if you like a lot of coffee flavor you could do 3 Tablespoon coffee and 3 tablespoon hot water… Sorry about that and thanks for checking
