You already know that a lot of crazy things happen at the Crazy Mom’s house… well this weekend wasn’t any different. We sure had been busy with planning a Birthday Party for two of our family members… you will never guess who’s Party we planned all day Saturday. … We even went and took a trip to Wal-Mart first thing in the morning; bright and early, that’s the only time I go to Wal-Mart if I have to go…. Check out what we got, maybe you can figure out who’s Birthday party we had today.
Yup… you guessed it… we had a Birthday Party for the pups…All the kids were hyped up when I announced that we would have a party for Snoopy and Charlie. Why did we decide on a party? That’s simple, we love our pups, they are just like babies, we do anything for them and since both have birthdays coming in the next two weeks, we thought it would be a lot of fun to spoil them a little with treats and some new toys. We picked up some Kibbles ‘n Bits Bistro, their favorite by the way, at Wal-Mart along with some Birthday presents, and party supplies.
Once we got back home, we all got busy preparing the party. You know I’m cheap, I so wanted to buy some fancy dog dishes to put on the table for my babies, but $5 each for a tinny small bowl wasn’t in my budget this week and frankly my dogs probly wouldn’t even cared about them. So I came up with an idea. I had a bunch of Rubbermaid bowls in the pantry that I picked up with coupons a few month back, fairly cheap and the kids decided to decorate them and personalize them for their pup. Check out all the preparation for the party… we had a ball.
Finally all the preparations came to an end… it sure was hard to keep all this a secret from the dogs. The Tween and Teen insisted me no telling the pup and leave it a surprise…. Boy were they surprised when the pups found their cakes… check them out.. don’t they look delicious?
We also decorated tables in the yard and invited some of the friends from the kids room, Barbie came with some of her stuffed dogs, and I know I even saw Emma the Talking Mommy doll sit at the table chitchatting with some stuffed animals.. It was so much fun. The toddler had a ball decorating the table.
Once all the guests had arrived it was opening presents, eating the cake and playing tug o war, as well as fetch and toss the ball and snoopy even gave some piggy back rides for some of the guests….… The kids didn’t leave a game out and the pups had a ball. Charlie decided he rather spend the entire party under the table, he protected his “cake” like there was no tomorrow… no matter what he was protesting the party I guess….. but once he saw the treats, he came out and played with everyone else…
What fun we had… this was so cool.. you should have your own party… I bet your little ones will get a kick out… My Toddler has been talking about this for 2 days now and she keeps asking if we can have another party…. It sure was nice to do something other than clean the house….
