Create a simple Cherry Vanilla Strudel #Recipe

Create a simple Cherry Vanilla Strudel #Recipe

I have to admit, I’ve never made a strudel. Growing up in Germany I had many amazing homemade strudels but I’ve never made one of my own. They are always time intense and I just never have the patience nor time to spend on this amazing delicious recipe. A few weeks ago, a friend of mine shared a recipe with me and it seemed really simple and I had to check it out. To my surprise it was really easy and my family loved the outcome. The pictures, well , it wasn’t as easy as some other food pictures, but the taste was amazing and I can not believe it took me almost 20 years after leaving Germany to make this delicious dessert or coffee companion to make my very own.

Trust me, it is really simple and you can make it, too. The traditional strudel has apples, cinnamon and raisins and would be perfect for this time of the year. I just took a trip to World Market the other day to dish up some yummy Oktoberfest munchies and found some cherries in a jar (I love them.. have you seen them yet?) and some of my favorite Vanilla Pudding, I just had to make a sweet dessert with these items, so I made them into this strudel.

How to make the Cherry Vanilla Strudel #Recipe

See, it was super simple, took no time at all and I’m sure if I work on my rolling technique I will be better the next time I make this strudel. It was that easy that I will add this to my regular dessert.treat ideas for the family to dish up on the weekends. You can add fruit’s and nuts that your family enjoys and I’ve also heard that the dough is perfect to turn into croissants, that’s something else I’ll try soon, we love croissants so this would be awesome to fill them with Nutella for breakfast.

I just love all the products I can find at World Market that are from Germany and around the world, very affordable and brings home a little closer. They have so many products that help me create my recipes with original products and always has a home feeling. Have you shopped World Market lately?

What type of Strudel would you like to dish up for your family?

Now that looks like an interesting treat. I think I might just be able to pull this off. Strawberries on the inside and strawberries on top and I might eat the entire thing on my own! 🙂
