Get healthy and stay healthy with Robitussin this #Flu and Cold Season

Get healthy and stay healthy with Robitussin this #Flu and Cold Season

Hard to believe that it’s this time again… Flu and Cold Season. Didn’t we just get over the last season? This year I stocked up a little earlier as usual on our cold & flu medications since our family already got hit by a bug a few weeks ago and that reminded me to share a few of our #Healthy tips to keep your family happy and healthy as well.

So here are like every year my top five items to stay happy and healthy

1. Wash hands often; that’s always the most important thing for me to keep hands clean and free of sick germs. People always forget about that simple step that will either get you very very sick or keep you healthy. If you touch a shopping cart, wipe it down first, clean your hands with sanitizer and don’t touch your face! If you are in contact with a lot of people, soon as they leave or you get away, wash your hands or use sanitizer; anytime you enter your home wash your hands to not bring more germs into the home from the outside.

2. Change your clothes after coming home; that’s also another important step. If you are out and about even just shopping, people sneeze, spread germs and if you walk around in those germy clothes around your home you can pass the bug, you may not get it but your hubbie or kids may pick it up. So change your clothes as soon as you can after coming home; Also don’t ever sleep in the clothes that you wore outside shopping, to the office or even Dr. office; germs will get you.

3. Drink lots of water; stay hydrated that will flush your system of germs and all kind of things that may make you sick. So keep extra water on hand and drink up!!

4. Take vitamins, especially during the cold & flu season make sure to take vitamins, don’t forget the kids, they need them as well and eat lots of fresh fruit & veggies.

5. Get a Flu shot if at all possible. They may not keep the flu away, but will keep it at a bay if you do catch it. Especially pregnant and the elderly should be protected as well as children.

Now you have a few tips on how to stay happy and healthy, but what if you do catch a bug? My doctor always recommended Robitussin, during pregnancies and now with the kids and even hubby who has Asthma. We have trusted Robitussin for years and now it makes it even easier with their amazing Free App. Load the app in the app store or android market and when needed input your symptoms and you will find out what product will help you the most. Washing your hands often is so important, and use kleenex when you sneeze because that really works in keeping the germs from spreading. But if I get sick, I use Robitussin because it really works in making me feel so much better. They have a lot of products that really work.

We got flu shots a few weeks ago so hopefully we won’t be needing any medication like this! But, if we do happen to get sick, I’ll know what will help us. We always wash our hands a million times a day to keep the germs from spreading.

We got our flu shots, but I know that doesn’t protect against everything. We need to be better about drinking lots of water and washing hands.
