What would Halloween be without Bugs? Boy have I found a Game for you that will “Bug” you. The object of the Bugs came by Valley Games, Inc. is a swam of bugs in the neighborhood and you want to be the first player to clear your hand of any bugs. When a player plays all his cards, the remaining cards in the hands of other players count against them. After six hands, the player with the fewest points wins.
This game is geared towards ages 10 and up and perfect for 3-6 players. There are 9 different bug cars, for a total of 45 cards; they appear in in decreasing quantity order, so there are nine of the number 1 card and only one of the number 9 card, which was quite interesting to me.
There are also 2 cards called “Outbreak” and it will duplicate any bug it is played with and cannot be played on its own; the Action cards are also quiet interesting. thee are 3 Net cards, the player will be treated as invisible and the swarm passes to the next yard or the Repellent cards, also come in 3 is to reverse the direction of the swarm sending it back to the previous player’s yard. The last card is the Exterminator, only one in the game but it knocks out the swarm and resets the swarm size to zero; the fun is endless with this game.
The game has a few different options of how to play and the best part the game includes the instructions in 7 different languages, making it a game that almost everyone can play, whether together as a family or with your Multi Culture friends at school; just soo much fun!
The instructions also include an overview of all the bugs included in the game like the American Cockroach, the earwig or a Jumping Spider; kids will learn about the Bug and find out if they are insects, arthropod and what they eat or where their name came from. Super cool and interesting.
We had a blast playing this game on Family Game night and even the 4 year old was able to play with some help from us and adapting the rules for her; everything is possible and it will be a lot of fun for everyone.
For more information: Everyone should have a Bug game, especially during Halloween, so be sure to head over to Valley Games, Inc. and check out the Bug game or any of the other cool games they offer. You can also follow on Facebook or Twitter to keep up with any new games.
