By now you have meet my Peanut Gallery; We’ve showcased our Pups Charlie, Snoopy and Woodstock a few times the last few weeks and you already know how much we love our fur babies. Just for a little housekeeping I have to let you know that I’m being compensated by PetArmor as part of the Mom It Forward Blogger Network campaign. All opinions, ideas and pictures are 100% my own and not influenced by anything or anyone.
We have had some ups and downs with our Fur babies from Charlie being poisoned by dog treats to health issues with Snoopy and now our little Rescue Woodstock got allergic to his Flea and Tick medication that we picked up at the vet’s office. I know, if it’s not one thing it’s another. Luckily for me I’m used to dog allergies. Charlie my Lhasa always has been allergic to the medication the vet gave us and so for a long time I’ve purchased his medication at my local Walmart of all things.
I always thought that I had to buy the dogs Flea and Tick protection at my vet’s office until Charlie got so sick from one of the medication and I researched, and found that PetArmor has the same active ingredient “Fipronil” that is used in FRONTLINE brand products, but the price was way cheaper and I could pick the product up during my weekly grocery trip. No extra stop at the Vets office needed. That was last summer and he has been a happy camper since.
I recently made the switch for all three dogs to PetArmor® Plus IGR for Dogs and so far we are very happy with the product. Neither Charlie nor Woodstock have had any reaction and are happy as ever. I can also say that the Tick problem that we had the last two years has not shown up yet either, I totally credit PetArmor® Plus IGR for Dogs with that. It kills ticks, including those that may transmit Lyme Disease, Fleas, Flea Eggs and Chewing lice all in one application per month. PetArmor® Plus IGR for Dogs breaks the Flea Life Cycle and let’s no flea get past to your pet.
Application of the PetArmor® Plus IGR for Dogs product is just like any topical application that you have done before, snip the top and then apply to the skin on the backside of the dog. Simple as that and it will protect your fur baby for 30 days.
I know, pets can’t talk, but mine sure are happy campers roaming out in the grass, the bushes and laying under trees all day long. They love the outdoors and now I don’t have to worry about any unwanted creatures to move in to our home. My babies are protected and I can rest at night knowing we are doing the best we can to keep them healthy.
Be sure to look at PetArmor® Plus IGR for Dogs the next time you are at your Walmart or Walmart.com and maybe you can protect your Fur baby and save a bundle. Be sure to remember a few key steps before you purchase your PetArmor® Plus IGR for Dogs .
-
Buy the right product for your pet’s species
-
Know your dog’s weight
-
Consider your dog’s age
-
Don’t split tubes between dogs
-
Only apply 30 days following the last flea and tick application
These few steps will ensure that you purchase the right product for your pet. All three of my babies are in different weight categories, we have to grab one box for each the green package (6.5 – 22 lbs) for Charlie, the orange (23-44lbs) for Woodstock and the red (45-88lbs) one for Snoopy. Just because your pets may be the same breed, doesn’t mean they have the same weight, be sure to check that and make a list before you head to the store.

I haven’t had much luck keeping fleas away from my dog, it sucks. I’ve never used PetArmor though, I should see if they have it here if you’ve had luck with it. Luckily our dog has never gotten a tick!

We need to try this for our dog! He sometimes has problems with other flea medications and they don’t seem to work as well as they used to.

Flea and tick prevention for your pet is so important to keep them happy and healthy! My dog takes a pill because we don’t want the grandkids to pet an application that has been put on her back.
