Nickelodeon Floam Review

Time to finally talk about Floam, the other day we told you how much we loved the new and improved GAK, and now it’s time to tell you all about Floam.

I have to admit, I had never heard of Floam before, being a German Gal and we kind of lived behind the moon most of my life, Floam either didn’t make it over to Germany or it never turned into a craze like GAK or “Slimey” like we called it, did. But non the less, I was ready for some fun, would it hold up to the fun we had with GAK?

My kids where excited to open up the Floam package to explore and see what it is, I was a bit worried on the other hand. If I see little tiny round beads, that kind of worries me, not that my kids would eat them or choke, nooo I’m worried to find these darn little beats all over my house and in every nook and granny… but.. all worries aside, the kids opened the package and started to “play” with the Floam.

My Teen was really interested in the Floam and couldn’t stop playing and kneading it, so I decided, I had to see what this was all about and touched it… well, BIG BIG mistake… the kids had to BEG to get their Floam back. I think I’m off to Toys R Us or Target and buy me my very own tub or maybe cart full of Floam. It felt kind of “wet”.. but your hands where dry… does that make sense?? I know, crazy, but soo cool.

No mess on the table at all! the kids all played and created, kneaded, squished, flattened and molded for hours; just like play-doh but soo much more fun and a lot cleaner as well. Check out some of the fun we had with the Floam.

WOW.. I know I was totally excited about the GAK, but this Floam is AMAZING.. where has this cool stuff been hiding all these years? Who needs Play-Doh if you can play with Floam? I have another secret, after the kids went to bed I snug off with a tub of Floam and just squished it while watching TV, I call it “MOM Therapy”… it was relaxing and just soothing … yup.. this isn’t just for kids… but kids surely had a blast with this one.

Now you can let all your creations dry and keep them forever or put the Floam back into an air tight container and play and create over and over and over again…. I also loved that the colors once they do get mixed pretty much stay in tack and don’t turn to an ugly brownish color…. check out some of the pictures where the blue and yellow was mixed you still can see the different colors… LOVE it!! If anyone ever said this stuff is messy… think again.. THE BEST EVER!! No fuss, no mess just plain good ol’ fun!!

Floam is recommended for ages 6 and up, our Princess is 4 and with supervision she had a blast; no problem at all. The tween and Teen loved it, but totally agreed that they liked the GAK much better. I on the other hand LOVED Floam more then GAK.. so everyone has their preferences and opinions.. guess you just have to buy a bunch of both the Floam and the GAK and just have a lot of fun with them all !!!

Soo much fun and we can’t wait to purchase a few different more, you can now get the improved Nickelodeon Floam, which is non-toxic, non-staining, phthalate-, latex- and BPA -Free through their website or Amazon.com, Target.com, ToysRUs.com or the national retail stores like target, Walmart, Toys R Us and each tub of Floam retails for $6.99. For more information be sure to check out Floam online.
