A few days ago I brought up the Elf during a dinner conversation and the first thing out of my 4 year old Princess mouth was “WHY?”I tried my hardest to convince her that it would be a lot of fun to have an elf around the house during the holiday season; she wouldn’t budge. She had her mind set “NO ELF’s in this house!”.
Well, I had to come up with Plan B, I so wanted an Elf Magic to come visit us during the Christmas Season, but the only way Santa would sent an Elf helper if you send a letter to Santa kindly requesting the presence of an elf. Since my daughter said NO Elf’s in the house I talked my 13 year old into writing a letter to Santa and it went like this (these are his exact words to Santa, at least his intention, I wouldn’t let the letter go out, but wanted you to know what I went through to get an elf into this house..lol..a Mom’s job isn’t easy)
Dear Santa; Can you please send me an elf to watch my sister. So if she does something BAD I want her to get caught in the act; So she gets what she deserves. … your Friend Teen “A” …..
Well, did I really ask my Teen too much, all I wanted was an Elf to visit for Christmas ?…. So on to Teen#2 I went; he wrote his letter and did his thing and today after we came back home from dinner at Mimi’s house… This is what my Princess looked like….
The look on her face was priceless as she saw that her Elf “Becky” had arrived from the North Pole and she brought a Yummy Party to boot. No more “Mom, No Elf’s in this house” stories from her…..
Our Elf Magic Elf arrived; I’m beyond excited to finally have an Elf in the house that will keep an eye on the little ones during this busy season; our Elf Becky will report back to Santa every night after we all go to bed. Becky came with her very own Magic Snowflakes, we have to sprinkle them on her each night at bed time to get her back to the North Pole so she can report to Santa.
Becky came with lots of goodies in her luggage and a letter from Santa to my Princess, explaining that Becky is only 427 years young and she will be delighted to spend this Christmas Season with my Princess; Becky would be able to hang out with her during the day, play games, watch TV or just cuddle with each other to make this special time of the year much more memorable; but at night Santa said, Becky HAS to report back to him, and if she misses 2 nights in a row, Rudolph would have to leave all his work behind to check up on his beloved Elf Becky to ensure all is well.
Let’s hope that we are able to send Becky back to the north Pole every night to not delay any Christmas preparations Rudolph may have to get done to make Christmas magical for all the little boys and girls around the world. We where told by Santa to leave crackers and ice water on the counter each night to give Becky the strength to make it through her busy night travels, which also will remind her of Snow and water from the North Pole.
Becky brought lots of goodies from the North Pole like Snowballs (Dunkin Donut holes with powder sugar), Hot Glazier Cocoa (Hot Chocolate with Marshmallows and peppermint sticks), Sweet Kisses from the big guy himself (white chocolate morsels) as well as some Peppermint Cookies baked by Mrs. Claus (Pillsbury Cookies) and of course a surprise for our Princess…. A pair of warm and comfy socks, because at the North pole it’s very very cold and she wanted to make sure that my Princess’s feet won’t be cold…(we are in Florida..lol).
We had a blast meeting our Magic Elf “Becky” (My Princess will not call her Becky, she keeps calling her Vicki, so don’t be surprised when we call her a/k/a Vicki, Santa approved and Elf ok); She’s not scared of any Elf’s in our home and is really excited to spend her days with Becky.
Now sit back and enjoy some of our pictures from the Yummy North Pole party, courtesy of the big Jolly Fellow himself and his helpers. Also, Becky a/k/a Vicki will be a lot of fun, so don’t forget to check back often, I will try to post on a daily basis what My princess and maybe Becky a/k/a Vicki had gotten into and if Becky is mischief like some other elf’s I know, you may be in for a few chuckles; you never know, those 427 year old Elf’s may be a lot of trouble on their own…..lol.
We had a blast and can’t wait to spend many more days this Christmas Season with our Elf Becky, if you are interested in inviting your very own Elf into your home, be sure to check out Elf Magic, they are amazing. Unlike other Elf’s, you are allowed to interact and spend the day with your Elf; have laughs, giggles and hugs as many times as you want; Santa himself encourages the interaction and it is wonderful.
Just a quick background story about Elf Magic, in case you didn’t know.
We are having a blast with our Becky and I think your little one would love to have Elf Magic in their home as well; be sure to check out Elf Magic on the Web, they have a lot of fun activities listed like pintable’s, letters to Santa and you can also follow the Elf’s on Facebook, Twitter and even Pinterest, to keep up with all the Elf chatter and maybe catch the one or other mischief behavior these little fellows will get into….
These little Elf Magic Elf’s come in a few different styles, hair color etc and you can pick and choose the one that suites your family best; we have a little red hair Princess, so I knew she would love to have the red hair Elf …… You can pick your Elf up in the Elf Magic Store, to keep the magic going in your home.
What will our elf get into next?
You have to come back to check it out…..

How fun and I can tell your Princess is glad you didn’t listen to her about No Elf in the house. Love all the treats and photos.

Thanks for posting! I almost forgot to ask Santa to send an elf this year. Magically, one has arrived in a box in the basement and hopped out to sit by the fireplace before the kids come home. 🙂

Looks like such a lovely, fun party! How neat, I’m glad your daughter was excited about the elf. Think it’s adorable what she said originally and how your teen responded with a note. What a really good memory for you all, I’m sure!

What a delightful way to usher in the season! I wish I had discovered Elf Magic sooner, when my own children were younger but not too late to introduce my nieces and nephews to their holiday magic! Thank you so much for sharing your experience 🙂
