Happy Thanksgiving! I love this time of the year. There is always a smell in my house of cinnamon, pumpkins and pies. This year thanks to my Bellini Kitchen Master, who sponsored this post but in no way is influencing my love for the product, has helped me create the most amazing, all from scratch Pumpkin Pie. Thermo Cooker at its best!
Ever since I came to America, almost 20 years ago, I see the love of Pumpkin in the fall. In Germany we use pumpkin for everything but to bake pies and even though I loved a piece here and there at Thanksgiving, I never actually made my very own. I always thought it takes forever to make a pumpkin pie and thought it had way too many ingredients and steps. My theory was to pick it up at the store was the way to go. Until…. This year!
I have had my beloved Thermo Cooker, my Bellini Kitchen Master for about a year now and use it for everything. I mean, the machine runs at least once a day from making a risotto, an entire meal or just puree some apples for the kids for apple sauce, you name it, I’ve done it. I’ve created a monster, wait… No … Bellini Kitchen Master created a monster!
I love being in the kitchen and creating new recipes, experimenting new things and even making my own flour. YES!! It’s the new way of cooking and best part, it’s all healthy, from scratch cooking done in less time then you run through a fast food joint.
My Bellini Kitchen Master has changed the way I cook, just like so many in Europe and Australia have discovered ages ago, it’s finally time for Americans to enjoy the beauty of Thermo Cooking. The Bellini Kitchen Master will replace 9 machines on your kitchen counter and all you do is replace it with one single machine, the Bellini can chop, mix, blend, puree, sauté, cook, steam and so much more.
Ever needed shaved ice for a party? The Bellini is your go to machine, need a whipped cream for a cake? No problem, the Bellini is by your side.
So, my love of this machine grows day by day and finally I decided this is my time to tackle the Pumpkin Pie, the Bellini by my side and I should be in good shape, right? My recipe is below, check it out.
OMG!!! I can not believe it was THAT easy! I think I missed some steps, it really was THAT easy. The best part, my family raved after I was done. They LOVED it and it looked pretty amazing. WOW… I’m still beside myself. I used Butternut Squash instead of Pumpkin because I was not able to find Pie Pumpkin anywhere in my area but let me tell you, it doesn’t taste a bit different, so don’t let Butternut Squash shy you away.
Also, don’t let someone tell you “Ahhhmmm you can’t use Butternut Squash”. YES!!! You absolutely can! I did, it was bright orange, sweet in taste and beautiful.
The puree in the Bellini Kitchen Master was perfect, you could even use it as baby’s first vegetable. All you do for the Puree is 100% Butternut Squash 50g water and let the machine do the magic. I could have ate the entire bowl without adding sugar or spice, it was that flavorful and rich. Perfect consistency!!
WOW, I’m speechless, I think I said WOW like 5 times now, but WOW.. I’m impressed!! If your puree turns out to be too watery, open the measuring cup on the Bellini Kitchen Master in the Lid so steam can escape, it will thicken up, trust me! If it is too thick for your taste, add a little extra water. Mine was perfect !!
My crust is an old German recipe from home, it’s similar to short cookie crust and is very versatile, you could also use the crust dough and roll it out, use cookie cutters and have German butter cookies for Christmas. The dough itself took under 60 seconds to make, 30 min to chill and ready. Super easy, very flavorful, just make sure your butter and eggs are cold, the colder, the better!
I promise I will make another post for you and will dish up a savory dinner idea, maybe an all in one meal so you are getting as addicted to this machine as I’m. True story, for month I have been telling my friend Pam over at Simply Southern Mom about my love for the Bellini and she always told me that she wouldn’t have time for another machine in her life and it’s something new to learn.
Pam has a very busy life as a new Grandma. I finally talked her into it a few weeks ago, she shared her first post on how to make your own baby food in the Bellini and yesterday I got this message from her “Did I say how much I love that Bellini? It made fudge filling for me while I cooked dinner. Now it is making buttercream frosting while I spend time with my grandbaby”.
It made my day knowing I’m not the only one addicted to this machine, so check it out. As an added bonus Pam and myself have joined in a Giveaway that is exclusive to our two blogs and we are giving another one of these amazing machines away to one of our amazing reader to check out. We think you will love it, too. Also check out Pam’s amazing Kentucky Bourbon Pecan Cake made in the Bellini Kitchen Master.
