I had my iPad for a few days now and had some time to sit down and “play” with my new toy. At first I wasn’t too sure about the iPad, it’s cool and all, but what can an ordinary mom like me do with an iPad? After all, we have a Laptop, a desktop and pretty much anywhere I go there is a PC somewhere, from the house to the office to my mother-in-law’s house, so why bother with the iPad? Well…….
It’s an awesome tool for people on the go. The kids started getting some apps to play and the other night during one of my teens soccer games, yup you guessed it, I sat there playing a “bust the bubble” game on the iPad… how crazy am I… now I’m hooked and totally in love with my iPad; this little machine is just amazing… and the Apps.. OMG… anything you can think or dream of, if it’s not out there yet, trust me someone is working on it and getting it out there.
Which brings me to this very cool app called iCrayonMaker…. check this out. The video isn’t the best and it took me forever to get it loaded, so it’s not fancy, but I hope you can see why we are soo excited about this ICrayonMaker by Shreta Dupree.
Isn’t that a cool tool for your little one to paint and learn their colors without all the mess? At first I wasn’t sure if I would like the App,( I know, I know… I like to look at things with mixed feelings… all the time… oh well) I kind of liked the swirly motion, but also got bored after a minute looking at it; that was before I realized that it actually changes colors right before your eyes…
This was soo cool. You can take the red crayon and swirl it till you have the desired color, add another color like yellow and swirl it till you have the desired color, orange or light red .. depending on how much “swirling” you are doing… that is too cool.. you can teach the kids how to mix color and never ever worry about a messy kitchen table ( I know that was a lot of fun… but I sure hate cleaning up that mess)…
Once you created the color that you like, believe me it will never get old, you can mix soo many colors… it’s crazy, but cool, you can go to the drawing pad and color or write in Crayon or glitter, even marker is a choice.
You can switch between different colors on your coloring pad.. just like a “regular” drawing… the only difference, this will be on your ipad and you won’t have a mess… my Toddler is in love with it and I have to say ,my teen hasn’t stopped mixing colors yet either… we love the ICrayonMaker in our house and I’m sure between all the soccer games and practices, we will get a lot of use out of this App, just to keep the toddler occupied….
Thanks Shreta for this wonderful App….
