Growing up in Germany we had many delicious desserts, cakes, pastries and what not. My kids love when I make something yummy for dessert and this is one of our favorites. It’s quick, simple and fairly affordable as well. Get ready for some Ohhh’s and Ahhh’s and “Thanks Mom, this was YUMMY”.
These little French pastry desserts would also be great for any kind of party you are throwing this spring. Maybe, Easter Brunch, Baby Showers or even Weddings. They are simple, yet elegant and taste like a million bucks.
This is what you need to make these French Puff Pastry Desserts
I told you it is simple. You will need (this will make 6 pastry cups):
-
1 pack of your favorite pudding and flavor; we use vanilla always turned out great. I recommend you use the cooking pudding instead of the instant, it gets creamier and has a nicer texture, but if you are in a super hurry, the instant will work fine.
-
1 pack of Puff Pastry Shells
-
Your favorite Frozen fruit; Berry’s work really well.
-
Prepare the Puff Pastry according to the package instructions; let cool and remove the inside
-
Prepare the pudding according to the instructions
Time to assemble the dessert:
Add a few spoonful of the pudding filling into the pastry shell and top with your favorite fruit, frozen works well with the warm pudding; fresh works well, too.
That’s it… Voilà… Dessert ala France is served…..
