Hello August and back to school season. I’m still in aww with myself that I have kept my New Year’s resolution till August. How pretty amazing is that? Have you kept your resolution? In January I decided to dish up delicious, healthy meals for my family as often as I could and so far have shared a lot of great recipes and new ideas and we are still going strong. Yippee!
I even included the dogs in our diet change and switched them to the new Beneful IncrediBites with Real Beef. Did you know that Purina’s Beneful dry dog food has been reformulated based on customer feedback and now features meat as the #1 ingredient, and has no sugar added? That has always been one of my main things when looking for a good meal for my dogs, meat as the #1 ingredient. I’m so excited that Beneful has listened to me and many other customers to create a real meal that we can serve to our dogs and know they are getting the best.
My dogs are part of the family so they only deserve the best and since Beneful only adds things we (and our pets) want and excluding what we don’t (like sugar) my dogs love their meal because it’s the same great taste but better. That inspired me to dish up another simple, delicious and real meal for my family.
Lunches are always a challenge in our house and so I came up with this simple soup that is great for on the go or as a quick snack after a busy day. We all know the soup kids toss into the microwave and we all shutter over the sodium and lack of vitamins, say no more. Check out my Soup To Go, you and your kids will love it!
Grab a Mason jar, your favorite fresh veggies like Spinach, peas, carrots and even corn if you like, fill the jar, add seasonings to your liking even mustard or sweet & sour sauce, don’t forget hot sauce if you like that as well. Prepare as many jars as you need for the week, all with different ingredients if you like and on your way to work or school grab a jar. Once lunchtime rolls around heat up enough water to fill your jar, let it sit for about 3-5 minutes and enjoy your very own Soup in a jar on the go. How easy and awesome is that?
I know it’s totally awesome, best thing since sliced bread for sure. We have been crazy over these easy meals and love creating new flavors, twists and ideas. My recipe above was a family favorite, we do switch it up between beef or chicken and if you like you can add both flavors to your soup, it’s totally up to you! Best part, it is all fresh and delicious.
I can’t wait to hear your creations and remember while your pets eat the great Purina’s Beneful dry dog food you can enjoy clean and fresh food as well, all in no time at all. Leave me a comment below and let me know what you think. My husband raved about the jars and loved them so much he has been taking extras for his co-workers. I’m the Soup jar fairy now thanks to my inspiration by Purina’s Beneful dry dog food in an effort to keep my whole family eating good.
As a side note, dogs can be sensitive to change, especially when it comes to food. Even though you currently feed your dog Beneful, you’ll want to transition to the new Beneful recipe as you would for a new type of food. Check out these helpful feeding tips and tricks and get your free sample here. You can pick up all the ingredients for your Soup To Go as well as the Beneful Dog food for your pets at Walmart. Totally a one stop shop for everyone.
P.s. Always remember Purina’s Beneful dry dog food is for your pets and my Soup on the Go jar is for your Family!!

This looks absolutely amazing, and I love that the new Beneful formulation is free of added sugars. Now, if only we could have human diets that were that conscious of ingredients all the time! #client
